I had the implant in may last year. Before getting the implant I had a consitent fluctuating weight range between 8.5-9 stone. Once I had the impnant incerted without any change to my diet or work out routine I gained 3 stone in two months! I have read up to see if this is possible by just getting the implant or if there is something wrong with me but there was no definite response. I went to see my GP in January this year and she said that it is likely the spike of the hormones from the implant is why I am gaining weight. I then decided I would work at loosing weight and decided to try the exante diet, I lost 9 pounds over three months of soul solution with no cheat days! (Those who have experienced VLCD know that this is such a low amount to lose on one of these). My Dh decided to suggest I come back onto food as I wasn't having the losses of a VLCD but was having the struggles. I started to eat between 1,200 - 1,400 calories a day and I work out 4 times a week at the gym and walk between 10,000 - 15,000 steps a day but have stayed the weight I was since losing the 9 pounds?! I'm not gaining anymore but I want to lose weight.
This can't just be the implant can it? When the GP did my health checks they said I was fine with no thyroid problems or anything.
I monitor everything I eat, weigh it all and ensure I check the calories on my fitness pal. I work out for at least an hour every time I go to the gym, if not more. I drink 2L of water a day... what am I doing wrong?
I have to say the majority of the weight gain is in my bust and I have broken several of my old bras just from the strain of their new size!
Has anyone got any advice or experienced similar with the implant?
I'm 5ft1 and 11st
