Can't lose the last half a stone

Hi ladies I am 9 stone and need to lose the last 7 pounds it's just not coming of . Had my third baby 5 months ago

I feel you. I weighed 40kgs before DD. Still have 4kgs to lose. Nothing shifts it

I have 4kgs left to lose and am finding it seemingly impossible. Been stagnating round the same weight since March.

Very frustrating.

Hi I'm also seeking advice. Only looking to loose around 6lb to be at goal weight but I'm just not moving down the scales. Last time I was in this position I did slim fast for 2 weeks (prior to wedding/honeymoon) it worked but it's hard and probably not very healthy also I feel like it took my metabolism a long time to get back to normal. 4 years down the line I'm considering it again OR in was thinking something like 5:2 but on the 2 fast days slim fast only? Any other advice because that's probably a last resort for me too!!

I'm the same. I finally had some progress after 5 weeks of hovering around the same weight and lost 2lbs so I now just have 5lbs to go. I get the feeling it will take ages.

I've been there a few times, it's always the hardest to lose and for me the only thing that worked was to review how many calories I should be eating for my goal weight. That and logging every single morsel that went into my mouth, I used to use Calorie Count website (now gone) now use Fitbit. Drinking lots of water (reduces hunger) and not being complacent feeling 'almost there'. In my head I have mental image that the last 1/2 stone or so is pure fat and each lb lost is like gold compared with the first half stone if that makes sense. I'm currently on maintenance after 7.5 loss, I'm at 5 year mark and don't want to regain. While the last half stone is the hardest, it's also the greatest achievement in my mind. You will do this smile

I agree with you since Friday been logging everything I eat and even gotten a fit bit !! I return to work in August I really want to reach my goal by then x

I've got 11lbs to go until goal and its taking forever to get the last bit off. I think I've lost 2lbs in the last 3 months after losing 6st in a year. I've upped my exercise to see if that will help.

I've been doing low carb high fat diet. Lost 2 stone and 1 left to go but it's just halted for some reason. Lowered the fat intake and nothing.
If you aren't already steer clear of fruit. Especially bananas. Drink tons of water and try to get some more exercise in.

What do your meals look like?

My meals are ok not the best try to eat small
Portions it really is so hard , the weight with my second child fell of !

Eat less exercise more. Same mathematical equation if you have 7lbs or 70lbs to lose.

Sometimes a couple of days on a faddy diet like low carb or shakes can kick start a pound or 2.

It is slower at this stage though and may just see a quarter of a pound loss a week.

Yes took me 9 days to lose a pound !!! I know I may need to do a fad diet just to kick start me of . Tried slim fast but the shakes I found made me feel 🤢

Sorry no advice but can I join in to moan?! Similar here to Illbe - I think I could lose the last chunk of weight by going superstrict again (for example BSD) but not sure I want to do that anymore , and I am so SICK of dieting, logging and weighing.

I really like your post about the last bit of fat being like gold red - maybe we should mentally triple any weight lost to reflect how hard we worked for it!

I'm having the same trouble! I finally got within 700g of goal weight but then a couple of weeks indulgence on holiday in April saw me gain about 2kg and it's been aaaaaaaagonising trying to shift it, and I still haven't blush I was hoping it would be an "easy come easy go" type thing but apparently not!

The problem with trying to lose "the last little bit" is that a "good day" is so much closer to maintenance calories than it used to be, and a "bad day" (or fortnight in my case) does much more damage.

I agree with a Short Sharp Shock to get things moving again - I've got some serious fasting lined up in a couple of weeks. I've cleared my calendar for it grin

I'm in a similar boat, a few pounds crept on a few weeks ago and won't shift. I go on holiday in three weeks and really want these three pounds off - when you say just slimfast do you mean literally just three shakes a day and nothing else?

When I did slimfast it was 2 shakes a day and one very light meal.

Avoid fruit!! ribena why is that? It's practically all I eat!! blush

I'm the same, I'm down to 8st9 but I wasn't to be 8st6. I've been eating so healthily and exercising plenty but I haven't lost anything in about 6 weeks 😵. Have you tried drinking green tea?

No it's not , I will try cut down my carbs because I do eat too much of them , you all have inspired me to carry on. Still 8.13 but will

After 2 days of eating fruit for breakfast a tin of soup for lunch (no bread/crackers) more fruit in the afternoon and a light evening meal I've managed to get another 3lb off so this morning I weighed myself and I'm just 3lb from my goal weight!
