Right. I have been trying to loose weight for the last 2 - 3 years now. When I started trying I was 11.5 and now I am 13.9
In 37 days I am going away on holiday - activity holiday not relaxing - and I really, really need to be slimmer.
So this is my goal, no more gently does it because clearly that doesn't work. I am going to have to be brutal with myself and need you guys to be brutal with me as well to keep me on track.
So it starts tomorrow with scrambled eggs on 1 slice of toast for breakfast. I'll do a HIT workout, walk the dog twice and ride my horse. Not sure what I'll have to eat for the rest of the day.
Really need your encouragement with this! I'll check in every day and let you guys know how I am getting on.....(hollow laugh....)
I've been having great results and feeling amazing doing the following:
Eat only between 11-7 or 12-8 depending on how long I last in the morning...
No carbs at all (bread/pasta/rice/etc)
So I have a big lunch around 12 for example a big leafy salad with avocado and some smoked salmon and a few nuts. Or today I had a whole aubergine cut in half and roasted wth feta and pine nuts on top.
Then for dinner I have loads of green vegetables briefly blanched and served with either chicken/salmon/burger. All seasoned with garlic/lemonjuice/olive oil whatever is nice really.
It's been super easy to follow as the only rule is the time gap and no obvious carbs! Haven't been hungry at all, the opposite actually.

I'll join you in your challenge if thats ok, I'm 12.6 now and to get to 11 stone would be a huge deal for me, if I could get down to 10.6 that would be a miracle

I have 40 days to get a stone off 😩 For a weekend trotting about Spain.
I'm also on the 800cal blood sugar diet and exercising like a lunatic every night.
I'm gonna get flamed but desperate times call for desperate measures, and I have a silk playsuit to get into- but I'm partaking of the famous Slimmer Tea (also known as shitter tea) .
I used to follow a thread on here started by Whatsgoingoneh - something called can I lose 10lb by Friday. It was one of the funniest things I read on here. All people on crazy diets.
Yes please do join me!! 10.6 is my eventual target goal too - but just getting to 11.9 would be amazing.
Your meals sound lovely, I definitely need to do the low carb too as well as drink lots of water.
So is eating only eating between 12-8 similar in principal to the 5:2 fasting?
Have you been drinking at all or have you cut that out as well?
And a joint weight in every morning sounds great..... And slightly scary

Sometimes I put on clothes that I know i can't fit into in order to motivate (and punish) myself - i've also been known to wear jeans that are too tight to stop me eating too much.
I remember that thread - it was amazing! Didn't she also wear some sort of sweat/wet suit to try and shift weight? Can you remember if she actually managed the 10lbs in the end?
Look at the blood sugar diet ( read the reviews on Amazon). I've always struggled with my weight, and have lost 21 llbs in 30 days, and have cheated loads. It's similar to what first poster said, and I've been avoiding breakfast and eating in an 8 hour window too.
Ooh this sounds like something I need to be a part of. I lost loads of weight and felt so much better when I did a really strict diet from my gym. It was tiny portions - porridge for breakfast with water, salad for lunch, tiny piece of chicken with as much veg as I liked for supper. I want to lose 2 stone by tomorrow.... so you know, need a kick up the bum

When you say you have been cheating - can I ask in what way?
I sort of loosely based my plan on the blood sugar diet and also on the 5:2 by fasting a part of each day. I'm really surprised by how good I feel on two big no carb meals a day.
I'm still drinking though there's no way I can give up on the alcohol haha. On Friday I've got some friends over for drinks etc, I bought some Vodka to have with a calorie free mixer. Hopefully that will keep the damage to a minimum...
I'm with you! I need to lose three and a half stone total but will be happy if I can lose a stone and a half by June (wedding) ... I too need to be brutal. No more arseing around... shit needs to get real
Ohyesiam 21lbs in 30 days is sooo hopeful! As I'm doing pretty much the same as you did that should totally work out for me right?! One can hope!
Iloveruby- my mind is on that playsuit 24/7, everytime I want to eat anything vaguely tasty I imagine myself in it, delicately flirting with the staff while ordering my wine. I think she did lose around 8lb. My friend is also living in her waist trainer for the upcoming trip.
Am off the drink- I can't be trusted not to shovel carbs in.

Am about 2 weeks in and 10lb down.
800 blood sugar diet is lentils, nuts, meat, green stuff, veg, and some berries and yogurt. I'm doing alright, but you get used to being hungry

Been trying to cut down on portion sizes and cut out sugar, but weight just keeps going down them up again. Ultimately I'm getting nowhere.
Decided to skip breakfast, and have brunch and small dinner.
As well as no sugar, no bread, rice or pasta.
I'm already fairly active but will try to up it a bit.
Will weigh myself each morning.
Oh. I really need to stop burying my head in the sand about my weight. If I keep going how I am I will weigh the same for all the lovely things I have on this summer... weddings, holiday with skinny friends, beach holiday with DCs.
Need to get myself into gear with this.

For dinner today I made a pizza which had a crust made out of cauliflower.. topped with mozzarella/basil and homemade pizza sauce. I was a bit worried it would be disgusting but it was AMAZING!

Is the blood sugar diet really hard? I started back doing 16:8 this week, day 4 tomorrow, and am getting back into low carb but keep loosing motivation and being shit.
I would love to loose 3 stone by the end of august for my birthday. I have a spa day (yes i know but i like them ok!) next weekend and would really like to drop at least half a stone by then.
I just need someone standing by my fridge and cupboard to slap me in the face everytime i head for the fridge or crisps. I can pay volunteers with gin!

Op, by cheating I mean in 30 days I've has at least 5 off.
With me it's an open or closed door, if it's closed, I stick to the rules NO MATTER WHAT, when it's even slightly ajar, I sort of fall in, and lots of cake flies into my mouth.....( sound nuts, but I get the feeling I'm not alone in this...). So for eg, ds birthday last week, dd made him a cake, I planned to have a slice ( can you see the door opening?), so I had 3, then because I wasn't doing the rules, I had pizza, wine, and chips.
So as you can see it's a very forgiving diet. I do have another 2.5 to 3.5 stone to lose though, but now there are some clothes I can look good in. Hurrah!
glen the battle ostrich when I read about BSD I thought I would never be able to do it. Day 1 was hard, but if you drink bucket loads of water it helps. It's true you don't get hungry , but hungry is not my trigger, my neurotic relationship with food is my downfall. But somehow not being dragged around through blood sugar peaks and troughs seems to really really help.
But honestly, if I can do it anyone can.

I'm a stickler for the rules and feel all virtuous and superior. If I have so much as a crisp, that's that, ALL the food. Drive ways through McDonalds and Share (Dream on, I don't share a crumb]) bags of Malteasers.

I'm similar - have a work secondment that I have to wear a uniform for (weep) and the trousers don't do up AT ALL. Not even close. Desperate to shift as much as possible so am doing a VLCD and will start exercising more in another 3-4 days when my body had adjusted. I hate that I let myself get into this state. The self hatred is quite motivating!
I'll have a look at the book when i get paid i think. Even sticking to it a couple of days a week is better than not at all i guess.
Oh yes and June-are you me? Either on a diet or eating stuff I don't even like. Trying to eat 'normally' but would like a big loss to spur me on.....
