Has anyone tried the Richie Howey weight loss plan?

I've been following him on Facebook and don't know whether to take the plunge. I'm doing SW (which he hates) but I'm really not getting anywhere with it.

I've done the Body Coach in the past so am familiar with the concept of macros but never got as far as eating to my own macros as I found the plan really restrictive and not very sustainable when trying to work full time and feed a family.

If anyone on here does the RH plan I'd really appreciate some feedback re how sustainable (realistically) it is and whether it's been successful?

Well I'm trying to do 40/40/20 macros but its quite tough to get right so the best thing you can do is use MFP to work out 7 days worth of meals and get your macros right then stick to that weekly menu! It might take an evening of playing with it! I'm trying to do 1650 cals and burn 400 a day.

Is that with the RH plan or by yourself "Titsy"?

Just by myself. I'm already doing hiit and weights so I think I'm doing something very similar already.

Well I bit the bullet and joined on Saturday and started properly on Sunday. The first week is very simple. You work out your usual daily calorie expenditure then reduce it to create a calorie deficit. He stresses the importance of not reducing your cals too
low otherwise it'll damage your metabolism. As you go on you can, if you want, work out your protein, carbs & fat macros but I haven't got that far yet. You need to sign up for My Fitness Pal and it helps if you've got a Fitbit or Smart Watch.

Having totally plateaued with SW I have, so far (and it's only Thursday) lost 3lbs. I am absolutely over the moon! So much of what he says makes sense. He pulls no punches when it comes to the weight loss industry. If you're a fan of WW, SW or VLCD it is not the place for you. But if you're disillusioned with your lack of progress, are willing to challenge some of your preconceptions and trust what he says I would highly recommend it. And for £3.50 a month if it's not for you, you've lost nothing!!

What do you actually get for that £3.50 footballmum?

Group advice and support on a secret Facebook page plus twice weekly HIIT videos from his partner Rachel. They are really good. People post questions Andorra often than not they personally respond sometimes in a video message.

I've just signed up today as have read about him a few times on here. It sounds complicated at the moment but I'm hoping it will get easier ...

I joined a couple of months back. I've lost around 9lb over 11 weeks and while that mightn't sound a lot, it feels like it's properly gone and if I keep following the plan I won't see it back! I love his approach but exactly as someone else said be prepared to let go of preconceptions (which anyone's who's tried to lose weight has many) It's pretty much as he says, no excuses, no bs. I have another 22lb to go, at the rate I'm going it's going to be the rest of the year. And that's absolutely fine, feels like the first time I believe I can do it
