I follow social media accounts of healthy food or people who have great habits when it comes to diet and exercise. This has helped me so much with keeping on track as anytime I'm having a lazy day I look on these accounts to get me moving.
Have you also tried doing any youtube workout videos from accounts such as Fitness Blender or Popsugar fitness? There are great ones that I do at home.
I've lost four stone basically by eating low carb. So no bread, pasta, rice and lots of veg and salads (which is where my carb intake comes from before the people shouting about cutting out a food group start shouting). Typical day is 2/3 boiled eggs (sometimes mashed with butter if at home, or just peeled if at work!), lunch is big salad (lettuce/leaves with then some kind of protein so fish, meat, cheese) dinner is generally meat/fish and veg.
I have also done similar with porridge for breakfast then same lunch/dinners as above and lost, just more slowly.
If I am having carbs with a meal if out for example then I make sure the carb portion is no bigger than my fist, protein the same and then the rest veg as far as poss.
I know friends who have done five two successfully too if that works better for you!
My turning point was feeling sorry for myself and eating the best part of a (small) loaf of bread for comfort then hating myself for it and finally admitting it to someone else and breaking down. I just knew I had to do something and at the time I did Atkins initially but over the years have worked out what works for me. TBH I've still got three or so stone to go and although have maintained the carbs have crept up and I feel tired and bloated all the time. I know what to do but it's hard to start sometimes!
