Thanks for the new thread.

That sounds terrible Millie. I hope you and your family feel better soon Flowers

I would definitely get some new scales Lapin. Especially if they aren't being consistent.

I'm going to start c25k again next week then. If I'm not quite at 5k by Race For Life I'm sure I can get away with walking part of it. It looks like some people walk it anyway . I actually signed up for ParkRun a few months ago but got scared by their Facebook page. I live in a really hilly area and there were people who had traveled to try the 'hardcore' PR. I struggle to walk the route they run Blush

I have stuck to waking up at a regular time and going for a walk everyday and am feeling lots better. My eating is terrible and I'm a bottomless pit of hunger but tackle one thing at a time.

Lapin new scales a must I think. Perhaps you ate something very salty?? Either that, or giving up sugar is in fact linked to weight gain which is an extra incentive never to do it! I've done alright today but just been given a bag of fudge by my DM! I am powerless to resist!

Millie Flowers

Lapin that is annoying - maybe you will lose extra next week, sometimes your body takes time to adjust?

I have been very good past few days so am keeping everything crossed for at least a pound loss on Saturday.

Thanks for the new thread lapin

Sorry you've not been well millie but I did laugh and spit coffee all over my phone when I read about your measley weightloss - I'd feel the same and often weigh after a big No2 and think wtf I must've lost something Blush

Ice I fancied trying parkrun but its at 9am on a Saturday morning - I'm not getting up early when I don't have to - Saturday mornings are for bacon butties and other aerobic activities Blush

Horrendous week foodwise as I've not got home until 11pm due to school events. Just hoping we don't get the ofsted call as they've done 4 schools within 3 miles in the last 2 weeks and we're well overdue - if we don't get a call by lunchtime tomorrow we've escaped for another week.

Woo hoo just realised it's Thursday - they can't phone this week. I haven't been this tired since I had an insomniac toddler Grin

Thanks for the new thread Lapin.

Thanks for the good wishes and flowers all, we are all on the mend although being careful about what we eat and drink.

Am still eating only a little bit as I can't face much else. Had toast, a couple of Jaffa cakes and a jacket potato with cheese yesterday, but the potato made me feel ill. Today have had a couple of farleys rusks with milk. Don't fancy a cup of tea so I'm definitely not 100% yet!

Was still 11st 6lbs yesterday which is better than nothing I suppose. I got through a mountain of ironing which must have used up some calories so I'm hoping for maybe another pound to go by the end of the week. Have still got masses of washing and ironing to get through so today will be another busy day which will hopefully use up some calories too. I don't recommend d&v as a weight loss method though - too much pain for not enough loss!

Notso am glad you have avoided Ofsted for another week!

Hello all; didn't realise I'd been awol for a couple of days ... I don't know where the time goes but somehow I missed posting on here.

Glad to hear you are all on the mend millie - that bug sounds awful and you definitely deserve more than a 1lb loss to make up for the suffering!

Lapin I always weigh slightly more a couple of hours after getting up, even if I've had nothing at all to eat in the meantime. I never used to realise this but since discovering it, I know to definitely ignore my weight if I check it in the evening as it's always 3-4lbs heavier than first thing in the morning! Sounds like you might need new scales too, especially if yours have lost one of the rubber feet - they won't be correctly lined up which I imagine might effect the reading somehow. Unless you can take off the remaining rubber feet so it is completely level. Would that work?

Yesterday I had porridge for breakfast then DH and I went out for a big steak lunch (we were given a voucher at Xmas and only just got round to going) so had a huge meal of mushroom pate and toast for starter followed by sirloin steak, chunky chips and mushrooms for main. It was yummy but I was so full I didn't eat anything else for the rest of the day apart from a handful of grapes! Was slightly over my calories but not too bad considering I'd eaten so much at lunch time.

Today so far all I've had is a little bit of scrambled egg and toast that DD left at breakfast and I've just had a flavoured latte and a banana. I'm busy laying a new kitchen floor today so meal breaks will be minimal otherwise I won't get it finished!

Had a cheese sandwich and some cherry tomatoes for lunch and managed a couple of cups of tea but didn't really want them. Back drinking squash as it seems to make me feel better. Was 11st 5lbs this morning so another pound gone! Only 5lbs to go until I've lost that stone, so I might be able to do it before Easter. Hoping the post-bug lack of appetite stays for a few more months days at least. Maybe that's the silver lining?!

Glad you're feeling better Millie
Maybe you'll carry on losing a pound a day now to make up!

I'm impressed that you're laying your kitchen floor Wench. Fancy doing ours when you've finished?!

Well, I bought new scales and they appear to give a 2lb lighter result! Yay! I just did a comparison test at lunch, but will try again tomorrow morning for a proper reading, as that's my normal weighing time.

Lapin we can but hope! Glad your new scales are nicer to you than your old ones were. I had to get rid of my electronic ones as they lied to me - they repeatedly said I was 9st. Which was very kind, but I haven't been that since I was about 18.

Had 3 dark chocolate digestives this afternoon which gave me awful indigestion and made me feel sick. Had a few of DH's chip shop chips for dinner but wasn't really hungry at all. Here's hoping another pound will be gone tomorrow!

New scales all round perhaps??!! Official weigh in today 11.9 and a quarter which is exactly the same as last week. But I'm okay with that. It's coming off slowly.

9st 4 again this morning but not surprised as I'm wasting too many calories on biscuits and toast. Need to get back on track as I've been invited to a surprise do in 2 wks and I've not seen many of the people who'll be there in almost 10 years and I was a skinnyminny back then Grin

Have a good weekend everyone.

Weighed in - 11st 9 (same as smell) so I think I have lost 3lbs this week. HOORAY!!! It's finally going in the right direction again.

I do think the new meds have helped, I don't feel very hungry.

Notsoskinny that is a great incentive. I would never go to one of those reunion type things as always too embarrassed that I am three stone heavier than I was back in the day.

Funny thing is even when I was 8 stone 3lbs I still never felt slim or slim enough. Sad

Here's to a good week for everyone.

Still hanging in there at 11st 5lbs which is 2lbs down this week. My appetite is coming back though and I had 6 Jaffa cakes yesterday Blush
Had cornflakes and tea for breakfast. Going to DPs for a roast dinner tonight, which will be a 3 course meal so will be good all day and not have much before we go!

happy its a friend 60th and her DH and DCs have arranged it but I know she'll go beserk. We used to work together so I've spoken to my old boss who sent my invitation but she thinks its a great idea. She's been busy tracking down people my friend's worked with over the last 25 years - she never had DCs and I think she's seeing this as the wedding she'll never get to organise Grin Friend still doesn't know anything about it but I know she'll be angry if she hasn't had her hair done/is wearing a great outfit but how can I make sure she does? I'm damned if I tell her and doubly damned if I don't - if I did I know she wouldn't turn up as a surprise party is her worst nightmare.

And well done on the weight loss ladies, I've been a complete pig today - 2 tunnocks teacakes, bag of crisps and too many viennese cookies when what I really needed was a glass of water!

Urgh, I've been a complete pig today. Just had the munchies for carbs and junk - TOTM next week though so I'm blaming that. I am holding out absolutely no hope at all for weigh in tomorrow morning - my mid week check on the scales had me 1.5lbs up from last Sunday so I'm expecting a gain this week Angry

I need to get on top of this!

Aye more yesterday than was planning to as had two prices of toast, a bag of quavers and a chocolate digestive for lunch. Prawn cocktail, roast beef and apple pie for dinner.

This morning I've had 2 farleys rusks with milk for breakfast. Not sure about lunch or dinner yet.

Very exciting mysterious pound loss yesterday then back on today! Possibly because I did about 3 steps yesterday, knackered from work and period pains. Was nice to see 11.8 on the scales if rather short lived!

notso could you pretend to your friend that you are taking her out somewhere smart so she'll get herself looking nice for that then bring her to the party? Tricky! I'm not keen on surprises either - too much of a control freak!
