Well done posie

Cocopopsrule · 09/03/2017 19:41

Thanks posie!

Cocopopsrule · 09/03/2017 19:42

I'm not having a succesful no s diet day but very glad there's a new thread to keep me focused. Thanks a lot.

PosiePootlePerkins · 09/03/2017 20:17

Oh yay you found us! Sorry you're struggling coco here to listen if you want to vent!

Woohoo here you all are.
I'm still talking to myself on the old thread Grin

PosiePootlePerkins · 09/03/2017 20:57

Twofloorsup go back and have two more conversations with yourself, then you'll properly fill it upGrinGrin

OP posts:
twofloorsup · 09/03/2017 22:35

That's about right for me Grin

AristonAndOn · 10/03/2017 05:09

Ow how exciting, thanks Posie. Would be so wonderful if we were all still on here at the end of this thread 👍🏼😀

PosiePootlePerkins · 10/03/2017 06:34

I have a feeling we will be Ariston. I have been on various weight loss threads before but never one as genuinely supportive and friendly as this oneSmile
Its Friday, hooray! Have a good day everyone.

Ariston I'm in for the long haul Smile
Best I've ever felt about food in probably 25 years !

beela · 10/03/2017 06:57

I think we'll still all be here but we'll all be much thinner Grin

twofloorsup · 10/03/2017 07:33

Haha Beela I think you're probably right. I'm finding now I don't need to pile my plates quite so high and food isn't the priority it used to be for me.

Cocopopsrule · 10/03/2017 07:48

Morning all. Weigh in day today. The pound from last week has gone so 74kg again. So overall, 2 lb down over 3 weeks. Must stay focused. Thanks so much posie for the opportunity to vent. DH has been quite good and supportive. And for the rest Im trying to change what I can, and accept what I can't and not worry about it. I'll definitively be here. This no s diet is about avoiding heart disease and type2 diabetes for me. I'm 39 - sensible eating today is part of choosing what type of life quality I want in 20 or 30 years. Difficult to remember in the moment though.

I used food to make me feel better when sad. To celebrate. To stave off boredom. As a social event. Finding alternatives requires quite some thought.

beela · 10/03/2017 09:49

That's a really good point cocopops. I was mainly thinking about being able to fit into my clothes and not having to sick my tummy in quite so much when wearing a swimming cossie but the long term implications are probably much more important.

beela · 10/03/2017 09:50

suck my tummy in. Not sick it in.

PosiePootlePerkins · 10/03/2017 14:22

Coco I have definitely used food in the ways you describe. Its so so hard because you still have to eat to live. And also food has such strong links with feeling comfort and pleasure, so it's understandable that it takes time to retrain our brains.

Bluebell9 · 10/03/2017 14:36

Can I join please? I've been off sugar for just over a week now. I need to get rid of my tummy! I've been really good so far, out for meals twice and didn't have a pudding even though everyone else did, including DP who is supposed to be giving up sugar too!

AristonAndOn · 10/03/2017 14:42

I'm glad we are all still so positive about it. Wouldn't it be great if we were still here. I'm 38 and want this to be for life, for my health and self esteem. I'm in the middle of an health scare at the moment and I'm hoping I'll get through this and that the experience will keep me focussed on eating and living well.

PosiePootlePerkins · 10/03/2017 15:00

Sorry to hear about your health scare Ariston Flowers** Getting your eating under control is probably one of the best ways to help yourself, you're doing the right thing.
Bluebell welcome! My user name on the no S forum is Bluebell! Good choiceSmile Any questions just ask, we're a friendly supportive lot.

Sorry to hear that Ariston but glad you're feeling positive about the food side of things.

beela · 10/03/2017 16:02

I'm 38 too. Obviously a good time to make new habits Smile

Sorry you're having a health scare ariston, hope it all comes good soon.

Thanks for well wishes. Got to have two unpleasant procedures on Tuesday 😢 I'll have answers though so it will be worth it.

twofloorsup · 10/03/2017 18:41

Will be thinking of you Ariston , keep posting if it helps.
I made an effort to have a cooked meal at lunchtime today so I didn't go to bed hungry again.
However not feeling well now so think dinner may not happen Confused

PosiePootlePerkins · 10/03/2017 19:53

Ariston good luck for Tuesday and talk here if it helpsFlowers
Two sorry you're not feeling well, hope its nothing serious.

Any ladies in their 40s here? I have been feeling dreadful with PMT the last few months, shattered, wolly headed, making mistakes at workConfused, tearful, not myself. Was wondering about a trip to the doctor, or is this just another delightful part of being a woman and getting older?

Have a good weekend everyone Smile
