I have a great plan now after my induction today. Ten mins on 4 cardiovascular machines then weights etc. I just want to know is it ok to do ten mins cardio then a wee rest to get my breath back then the next then the next. Otherwise I don't think I can do forty mins solid burn. That's how unfit I am

It is, but time your rest and try stay consistent. If you need 2 mins rest between machines the first week, reduce this to 1.45 the next week and so on. Also dont' wait until you're fully recovered either, you should be out of breath and tired!
