I'm just within the healthy weight range, but would love to lose 15lbs as that is where I felt best. Ideally I'd like to lose 1 lb per week, and be at my goal weight by Summer as we are planning a beachieve holiday - but mainly I just want to feel and look better as I haven't been taking care of myself lately. I will weigh myself every Sunday.
Today's weight: 9st4lbs (130lbs)
Goal weight: 8st3lbs (115lbs)
Lbs to go: 15

Anyone like to join?

I would like to join you. I don't know where to start because I have never tried to loose weight before. I have gone up to 10 st because I have not been very active over the past 12 months. I would prefer to be 9st or 9st 7 at the most. So where do begin.

Spongesecret008 · 26/02/2017 15:10

I need to eat better and also exercise. What is your plan?

Thingsgettingstranger · 26/02/2017 15:22

My plan is to cut out most processed foods (but allow myself a treat now and again), watch my portions (they're massive at the moment) and do some sort of exercise every day. Oh, and not to compare myself to anyone because that's always what holds me back.

I think the week will look something like this:

Breakfast - poached eggs & spinach
Lunch - Wholemeal sandwich with egg/tuna/chicken and a big tub of salad
Tea - I have made a healthy meals plan so something nutritious

Will also allow myself 1 cup of cofree and maybe a piece of fruit if hungry. Will try and drink lots of water too.

I'll join you. My first goal is to lose half a stone by my birthday, in 4 weeks time.
Today's weight is 9 stone 13 pounds.
I'm giving up bread and sweet things and trying to up the exercise.
Problem is work where we often have cakes and biscuits that colleagues bring to share.

Thingsgettingstranger · 26/02/2017 16:29

Hi puddle. I have the same situation with work. I started last year and put on quite a bit of weight. I have managed to lose 8lbs over the past few weeks though, so at least it's going in the right direction.

I need to up my exercise too. Will aim to walk more during the week, maybe run at weekends and I've got some weights which I can do.

I would love to join you all.. currently 9st 11 and would LOVE to get down to 8st 13 so just to get under 9 stone. I have a horse I part loan and ride him twice a week and run 3 times a week since end of jan I set myself a target to walk 10000 steps a day and 4 out of 7 days I manage it. It's the sugar im awful for snacking my meals are good I just eat too much sugary snacks! Planning to do dechox through March so will see how that goes ! X

Thingsgettingstranger · 26/02/2017 16:39

Hi littlemiss! I'm also a sugar fan, so need to find some way of distracting myself from going in the kitchen and stuffing my face!

littlemissM92 · 26/02/2017 16:46

My 'usual' daily food is
Breakfast either 2 weetabix with semi milk / porridge with frozen berries or shredded wheat.

Lunch usually 1 slice of brown toast and beans followed by banana apple and orange then a chocolate bar

Tea something healthy tonight pork brown rice lots of veg creamy sauce
Then I'll have something baaaad basically I need to ditch the 2 Sweet treats and up the water intake I think?

LiefieLiefie · 26/02/2017 16:49

Keen to join. 5ft 9, currently 71kg and want to be about 64kg. That's about a stone to lose. I have already lost and kept off 22lbs over the last year, doing it very slowly so that it becomes sustainable.

If I can get down to 64kg by the end of August, then I will be happy. Currently living with my feeder parents but looking to move out in the next few weeks, so will have more control over my diet and exercise.

Thingsgettingstranger · 26/02/2017 16:50

My usual daily food is terrible. Its something like this:

  • frosties, tea with sugar, toast with butter
  • crisps
  • pot noodle, biscuits
  • ready meal
  • any random junk

Hopefully if I stuck to my plan the weight should come off pretty easily. And yes, if you upped the water and ditched the sugar I think that'd work well Smile

Can I join? I'm 10 stone 9lbs and aiming for 9 stone 7lbs (pre baby weight... my youngest is 19 months old Blush).

Generally just planning to eat less and move more! I did 10km on the exercise bike followed by a yoga DVD this morning. Cutting out wine (biggest downfall) and biscuits! My main meals are healthy, it's just the crap I eat in between.

Thingsgettingstranger · 26/02/2017 16:52

Hi Liefie, well done on the 22lbs! That's great! I sympathise with the parents, mine were always like that. I don't really have a specific deadline but somewhere around July will suit me fine

Hi somehow, of course you can! My previous baby weight was 8 stone. My youngest is 15 years Shock

I've got an exercise bike that hasn't been used for AGES! Will drag that out again sometime. Biscuits are my downfall too

I have a holiday in 15 weeks so would be good to be somewhere near for that and I have my first 10k race in April so the training for that should help. Aiming to lose 1/2 - 1 a week ? X

Thingsgettingstranger · 26/02/2017 17:10

Little, losing 1/2 to 1 lb a week sounds a good plan. If you lost a pound every week you would reach your goal weight in 12 weeks and then start maintaining which is fab! I'm aiming to lose 1 lb a week, but give or take a few ounces will suit me x

Somehowsomewhere · 26/02/2017 17:50

Yes 1lb a week is my plan too, slow and steady!

Thingsthatmakeugoummmm · 26/02/2017 20:09

Can I join too please? I'm finding it hard to lose weight as I've got older. I need to lose a stone. I can't fit into any of my old clothes. 😓

Thingsthatmakeugoummmm · 26/02/2017 20:10

I'm going to try and give up biscuits and sweet things during March

Joining too. Have been trying to do this for a couple of months and have a few lbs to go. Aiming for 9st 2lb by Easter and a flatter tummy after several pregnancies. Youngest now 1.

Gettingthere7 · 26/02/2017 20:25

Can I join? I'm a man and had a few friends who were doing this with me who have all fallen off the wagon in spectacular fashion lately...which leaves me alone and struggling to find people to bore about how tough I'm finding it (other than my partner)

Im 6ft 1 was 231 lbs in August and now I'm 194lbs as of this morning (creeping into healthy bmi). Ideally I would like to be 180lbs...by early may..but the weight is slow coming off now and my mood swings are getting worse. I'm sticking to 1500 calories a day for the most part (generally healthy options), not drinking and exercising everyday.

Thingsgettingstranger · 26/02/2017 20:26

Hi things and Cornelia Smile

Tomorrow my plan is:

  • Banana & a coffee
  • Portion of chicken pasta and tub of salad
  • Jacket potato with either beans/tuna & cheese
  • 1.5L water or more

And some exercise too.
