Anyone else in?

I'm also on a mission to up my steps (I've been using a pedometer app and on work days my step count is soooo low!)

Great idea!

I'll stick with you on this one. I've already given up high carb and sugary foods, but can be emotional support if you'd like?

The trick I found to properly stopping is, slowly replace each item. If you try to do it all at once it can sometimes be too much of a habit change and thus it doesn't last.

I replaced "chocolate" with the no added sugar dark chocolate from sainsburys, then "bread" with flaxseed buns and then crisps with nuts.

Little compounding habits are how you go from nothing to everything - a bit like savings.

Thanks Lisa 😀 I used to give up all 3 a few years ago - I'm a real bread lover though so that's probably the hardest for me.... first day after Lent will be a freshly baked crisp butty!!

You've got to stick with your habits. If you binge after Lent then all the weight you lose will jump back on. Compounding habits!

Lisa, that is the most honest, real and best advice I think I've ever seen on here.

Lisa you're absolutely right - I'd actually like to give up white bread for good as all it does is bloats me. :)

Day 1 and I chose a sensible lunch in a cafe when usually I'd have a massive white bloomer sandwich which i'd regret all day :)

Not Lent yet, is it? But you're right not to wait. Your health is too important to be dictated by the calendar. And Lisa is spot on.

Bread is nice but reducing visceral fat is bloody amazing. Smile
