Oh good morning/evening, how nice to have this fresh new thread to enjoy.

Thanks BOOP for the new one, will we do a new new one for Feb?

Pinkvici22 · 22/01/2017 21:32

Thanks for the new thread BOOP. I've not had a great weekend - gone over my calories today. Had a day off training (did 6/7 this week), feeling full of cold, headache and AF is visiting. May try 3x fast days this week.

Mummysh0rtlegs · 22/01/2017 21:42

Thanks for the new thread, I am starting again with earnest tomorrow. I have crustless SW quiches in the freezer, four gym classes booked this week and the Linda's are going to fall off!

BitOutOfPractice · 22/01/2017 22:11

Wow! We are all still super-focused!

This is my last full week of Dry January. I think I might keep it going for as long as possible, I feel SO much better, and no booze = no temptation to eat shit food + willingness to exercise, both of which are good for me at the moment.

I'm not sure I'm going to make 7lbs this month, got a few to go this week, will try my very very hardest to shift the lard.

KikisDeliveryService · 22/01/2017 22:18

Thank you boop 😊

ponygirlcurtis · 22/01/2017 22:25

Great stuff BOOP - good eating day here, and I marched for a good half an hour in front of the TV tonight so I hit my step target. Halo

Here's to a good week for everyone.

Chardonnay73 · 22/01/2017 22:33

Still here... had a whoosh this weekend, lost 0.5 lb every day so 9.5 Linda's gone for good! 😁
On course to break a stone bracket ( on the scales, not in lbs) by the end of Jan which was my aim. Going to the gym again tomorrow as Wednesday I am having dental surgery and won't be able to exercise for a few days. 😩
Hoping my largely soup based diet from Wednesday will help the loss this week...

BitOutOfPractice · 22/01/2017 22:38

Very well done Chard. That's a brilliant result!

teaping · 23/01/2017 07:01

Morning ladies!

BOOP thank you for the shiny new thread!

Well done Chardonnay on the whoosh! I have also had one overnight after a reasonable weekend, magically down 1.5lbs today. Yesterday we went for a roast with the in laws and I skipped the Yorkshire puddings, potatoes, parsnips, carrots and just had green veg, and I even resisted the chocolate mousse which was a struggle! It's sooo worth it this morning, yay!!!!!

Pony how do you force yourself to march on the spot? I could do with doing that as some days I work from home and my step count is pitiful!!!

lastqueenofscotland · 23/01/2017 07:01

Thanks for the new thread! My weekend wasn't great, but feeling super motivated to crack back on with logging everything on MFP and staying focused!

Archduke · 23/01/2017 07:10

Goodness Chardonnay that's fabulous - the 9.5lbs loss not the dental surgery obvs.

I've just watched that shark attack movie The Shallows with the dds. Am now too scared to have a bath.

Cooking roast pork for dinner, am going out for a run beforehand but really really don't want to. I'm starting to get a bit disheartened about this whole weight loss thingy. I need to look at my stats again as I keep feeling that it's going too slowly which is depressing me.

Archduke · 23/01/2017 07:11

Well done teaping 1.5lbs down is brilliant.

00100001 · 23/01/2017 07:14

No loss this week.

Not surprised though. Been a proper fatty this week Sad

00100001 · 23/01/2017 07:15

Will focus this week for sure. 3lbs us my target.

Squiffy01 · 23/01/2017 07:20

Thanks for the shiny new thread! Hoping I don't ruin it with a gain on Friday! I have eaten so much over the weekend - Sunday lunch out was sooo disappointing I could have cried, was really looking forward to it.
Have followed everyone's advice M staying on track and have even logged all my food I know I will eat today so I know where my calories stand and if I can have any fruit if I get hungry.
Not sure I will make my 7 lbs this month but that will make me even more determined for next!

BitOutOfPractice · 23/01/2017 07:34

Go for it Squiffy! Good to have a firm plan!

teap I'm so pleased your restraint paid off! Excellent

Binary you've got this this week

I think now is the real danger time. 3 or 4 weeks in, losses slow down, resolve wavers. I really need to focus on the main prize

Shall we continue here until 1000?

I'm fed up this morning, got on the scales to see a 1kg loss. Then just to be sure got on them three more times to see a 400g gain. Bollocks and buggeration. Angry

AND I posted on the old thread without checking here first.Blush

ArseyTussle · 23/01/2017 07:50

Bugger! C and P'ed the first sentence from the old post.

I give up.

BitOutOfPractice · 23/01/2017 07:55

And I've just spotted the typo in the title Angry

Oh arsey I'd take the first reading...

ArseyTussle · 23/01/2017 07:58

Bless you BOOP, but as I believe a pp's OH said, I'd only be cheating myself.

How often do other people weigh? Wondering whether if I did it daily it would take some of the pressure off and also keep me motivated now we're in the sticky 3rd week. Or does that way madness lie?

BeyondCanSeeTheEmperorsBellend · 23/01/2017 08:23

Right, I have decent food and not feeling too ill (though eldest is now off school with tonsillitis), so I'm back on the wagon today :)

I weigh daily arse. It can fluctuate so much, I'd hate for my weekly weigh to be on a 'heavy' day. So I find it more helpful. :)

SpuriouserAndSpuriouser · 23/01/2017 08:28

Chardonnay that is an amazing loss! Well done.

Teaping I am really impressed at your roast dinner resolve, and it sounds like it paid off!

I had a fairly good weekend, food-wise. I tried to balance out heavier meals with lighter ones so hopefully I will see a loss this week. Today is a fast day anyway. Not having any breakfast (except coffee, I need my coffee), I have miso soup for lunch and I'm making frittata for dinner. It's 337 calories for a fairly hefty wedge, so I am going to make extra for lunches later in the week.

HairsprayBabe · 23/01/2017 08:42

I just posted this on the other thread Blush

12.2 this morning, -5lbs for the month so far.
Not to bad as I went out for curry on Saturday and had pizza last night! Blush BAD Hairspray! Bad!

So I am detoxing today, in hope that I will lose another few lbs before the end of the month. Bring on the liquorice tea and kale,

OH! also here is my Egg Muffin recipe for those who asked on the previous thread.

1/2 cupmilk
1/4 tsp.salt
1/8 tsp.pepper
1/2 cup grated cheese
1 cup finely chopped veggies - use whatever you like I use pepper, courgettes, tomatoes, spinach, it doesn't matter really! you could add ham, cooked chicken or bacon etc. if you are a meat eater.
2 tbsp. chopped shallot or spring onion

Heat oven to 180C.
Beat eggs, milk, salt and pepper in medium bowl until well-blended.
Add cheese, chopped veggies, onion; mix well.
Spoon evenly into 12 greased muffin tin, about 1/4 cup each.
Bake in 350°F oven until just set, 20 to 22 minutes.
Cool on wire rack 5 minutes.
Remove from cups; eat.

Can be kept in the fridge for a week or keep frozen and defrost as needed. can be reheated in microwave.

Calories will vary depending on your veggies, of choice but 2 should make a good brekky Grin
