Didn't go to an 8 but I did go from a 16 to a 10 doing slimming world if that's an option for you (it's not for everyone I know).

What exercise are you doing at the moment?

My plan isn't on sizes as such as I have quite wide hips and a large chest. My aim is to have a bmi in the healthy range and to lose around 3 stone.

So far I've lost 11lb since end of November so 2stone 4lb to go :)

I joined the gym and go 4 tomes a week. I have an Epson PULSENSE (similar to Fitbit) and use that for calorie consumption. I'm eating healthy food and have cut out fizzy drinks alcohol but still have a small pudding after dinner

Not to an eight, no, but 16 to a ten through low carbing. Started mid August, was a size ten by early December, but also coupled it with exercise. A mix of cardio and weights. I'm just under five foot eight so wouldn't want to be an eight, it would be too thin for me.

Went from 18 to 12 by lots of walking and less food.

How much walking were you doing a day? I am trying to motivate myself to exercise more.

I went from 16 to 8 on Slimming World. Was never hungry and have maintained for around 6 months so far. I found the weekly weigh in kept me motivated for much longer than I would have been otherwise.

I went from a 16 to a 10 a few years ago by using MFP and walking a lot (baby and toddler in buggy so great work out).

I can go down to an 8 with a lot of hard work starving myself and usually do, for a wedding or a holiday, but I just can't maintain it, nor do I want to!

I think it took about 6 months to lose he first 3 stone, and another 6 months to lose the last stone, so a year in total to lose 4 stone.

About an hour a day, five days a week, also use the stairs instead of lifts, stand instead of sitting. The walking is back and forward to work, try and get a reasonable speed up, get the heart pumping away, doesn't have to be power walking or anything. I found walking is as good for the mind as well as the body. My job is pretty physical too.

Watching with interest. I want to stop being a 16 and start being a 10.

I have gone from a 20 to a 6/8

Dietwise I started with MFP lost 3 stone, but a stone back on so joined slimming world. I have now lost 7 stone in total.

Exercise wise I started with 10 minutes a day of wii fit. I couldn't physically do anymore at first. Now I am training for my first half marathon and either run or gym 5 times a week when possible. I make sure I do 10000 steps a day too.

Ive gone from a size 24 to a size 12 in a year. I still have 2st more I want to lose but I don't think that'll take me to a size 8.
I've done this much by lchf (mainly) which Ive found really easy to stick to.
Exercise wise, I started running using the NHS couch to 5k and I'm now training for a full marathon later in the year. I've just started some weights and resistance training to improve my running times (and hopefully tone up a bit) I did try adding cycling for a bit but found it too uncomfortable. I have a Fitbit and use my fitness pal to help with nutrition and the motivational weight lose graph.

A lot of inspiration here.

Went from 14 bottom, 16 top, 12 stone (I'm 5'3) to 8/10 bottom, 10 top.
Gave up sugar and processed food, are when hungry, stopped when full (had to train my brain to recognise the signals).
I started walking for an hour a day (fast enough to be out of breath and heart pumping) and did some of the Davina 7 minute HIIT routines 3 times a week.
I'm 9 stone now (maintained this for 18 months), but could probably lose another 10lbs without being too thin.
My life is sort of in limbo at the minute (illness, several surgeries, an emotionally draining house move) so I've lost motivation to keep going but hopefully things will be on the up soon and I can lose the last of my wobbly bits!
I'm 53 and wish I'd done it when I was younger and had elastic skin though!
