Went to SW and had a massive shock. I was more than I thought, a lot more.
Anyone want to be a buddy for a very long weight loss journey?
I'm guessing my BMI is late 40s. Blush
Disgusted with myself.

Hi mooey & newyear :)
Well done my BMI, I've 9 1/2 st to lose to be in the healthy range!
Going to set targets and I'll be happy with 14st as I've not been that weight in years and I'm 5ft 11in.

So ashamed of my weight. Anyone got 7st + to lose?

Ok well at least you now know and can start to make changes. I'm going to plan my meals for the week and record every morsel that passes my lips!!!

That's a good idea, day 1 done, didn't realise how much of a sweet tooth I have, going to have a muller light and see if that helps.

I'm currently 17st. I'm looking to get down to 13. It'd leave me in the overweight category still but I'd be much happier in myself.

I really need to giveyself a kick up the arse when it comes to carbs and sugar. I'm also reading a book to help with my binging.

TheGruffalo they are my downfall! And binge-ing Blush.
We will do this!

I have about 5/6 stone to lose, gosh it's hard to admit to but it has to be done. I'm 30 this year so hoping to get into the healthy weight category before that. Healthy eating and tracking on MFP. Good luck everyone, we can do this.

I know exactly what you mean putthespoondown, I've been completely in denial and thought I was around 17st then find out today I'm 4st heavier than that Blush I must look awful as I'm still in the same clothes just tighter:

I have about 6 stone to lose and determined 2017 will be the year I get this done. Looking for some friends for support & motivation. How is everyone planning to lose weight?

I have 6 plus stone to lose this year - starting slimming world next week - you aren't on your own Smile

Don't be disgusted with yourself, you've made the first step to losing it.

I've lost almost 6 stone since April last year with SW. I have another 2 to go. It is possible.

Good luck. Come join us on the SW support thread.

Good luck everyone. I am going to a group tomorrow and have a similar amount to lose. Don't feel disgusted with yourself op, because you've done the hardest part of walking through the door.

Hi, I'm 18.6 and 5'4 which makes my bmi around 44 I think.

I just found out I'm pregnant so I am desperate to change my eating habits. So I'm not going to diet as such, just ditch the crap, increase the good stuff and hopefully lose some weight along the way!

Helllllp yes 2017 will be our year! Happy to be a buddy :) Im doing slimming world and thinking of doing 5:2 alongside it but shall see how I get on first.

MrsMonkey good luck for next week :)

ALemony well done that's such an achievement! It gives me hope it can be done hearing that, you must feel fantastic.

snowflakes good luck for tomorrow, thank you, it was hard but once I was in there it was ok - more the build up of nerves! Hoping next week for a good weight loss to give me a boost.

SpunBodge Congratulations! Grin I lost a lot of weight, about 3.5st, in pregnancy (mainly through illness though!) I made the mistake of post partum spending the last 9 months making up for it eating crap Blush and putting 5 st on. You've got the right mindset already, well done :)

Completely agree with the clothes comment op, I'm still wearing the same size after putting more weight on. I think my clothes have just been stretched far too much. I hate buying more clothes and tell myself I'll buy nice clothes when I'm a size 10/12, I have been telling myself this for years!

Excellent weight loss ALemonyPea, I'm tempted to join SW, just so I'm not just doing it by myself.

Thank you. I've gone from a size 22 to a size 12/14. Love clothes shopping now, although still hard to not buy tent like clothing.

Good luck everyone, you CAN do it. It might seem like so much to lose, but aim for a small target, like half a stone at a time, rather than the big number.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who keeps the same clothes Blush
I think I'm going to do a weekly measurement and photo dairy for myself so I can see the progress and keep myself on track.
I always find myself going back to SW it's the most sustainable I think?

Alemony that's a good idea about 1/2 st at a time. Sounds really silly but when your thinner does your mindset change or do you still feel big? Must be amazing to go clothes shopping :)

TBH I still feel massive. Takes some getting used to, being able fit through smaller spaces than you're used to.

Have really bad tonsillitis this week so just eating whatever I can swallow... am going to drag myself to weigh in this evening - leader says she will weigh me before everyone else so I can just nip in because I'm so poorly!

Will let you know how I did this week.

ICantThinkOfAUsername I am 6ft and I had an over 50 health check just before Christmas and was disgusted to find out not only was just over 20 stone (much heavier than I thought I was and even heavier than I was when pregnant). Today I also caught a glimpse of myself in a full length mirror when out shopping in Top Shop with my tall slim almost teenage daughter. I look a state lumps and bumps all over the place and everything feels hard work. I don't want to look and feel fat come the summer hols, next Christmas, social events, parents evening etc. I am going to wait until the beginning of next week and get organised and try SW with a vengeance. I would like to be 13 stone but would settle for 14, 15 or even 16 stone.
