A thread for those wanting to lose less than a stone

Hi, I know there are lots of new 2017 threads but thought I'd see if there are others like me with a small amount of weight to lose who want support.
This day last year I weighed 10st 11lbs which is my heaviest ever (I am 165cm / 5ft 5in) My aim then was to be under 10 st which I managed but then spent most of the year bobbing around the 10 st mark, which was fine.
Today I weigh 10st 3lbs. It is TOTM so that always adds a pound or two but my target is to lose 7lbs initially and then perhaps aim for 9 1/2.
Aiming to count calories and exercise as this is what has worked best for me in the past Smile

10 stone 6 pounds here and would like to get back to 9 stone 10 pounds so ten pounds to go. One month on holiday in November. followed by Christmas and New Year celebrations and sheer greed have left its mark. If I don't get rid of it now it will be a stone, then two etc etc.

Good Luck NewYear

Hello! That's pretty much the same as me - have also spent the year bobbing around the 9st10 - 10 stone mark but after Xmas excess was 10st7 on 28 December which is too much for me. Have lost 5lb so far by low carbing - mostly water weight but still v pleasing! Aiming for 9st 3 as that's a good weight for me but first target is 9st 7. Upping my exercise too and will start running again - have signed up for a 10k in April which may have been a mistake! Shock.

I'm about 9 1/2 stone just now want to be 8 1/2 I know that sounds a bit ridiculous but I'm tiny framed I have really skinny arms, shoulders, back, boobs, knees and calves then have this huge bum and hips. Makes clothes shopping horrendous.

I also have fibromyalgia so can't do any high intensity exercise.

Hi all, good to have some company Smile

Five that sounds very similar to me. I always think if I don't nip it in the budget when it starts to creep up then it will become too difficult.
Whyhell 5lbs already is amazing, well done!! Also well done in the running. I did C25K about a year ago and although I exercise regularly I am rubbish at running but one of my 2017 aims is to get up to 5k in the next couple of weeks and then run 5k at least once a week. Given we live right next to a recreation area and I have a dog who happily runs that far it should be very achieveable!!
Sweet we are all different and know what is comfortable for us Smile

Good day here and healthy dinner planned. There were 3 ferrero rocher left in the box and so I 'made' the DC and DH have one each so the house is now pretty much back to normal food wise which should help.

Hello, I'm in :) Post-Christmas weight is 9st 6lb and I would like to get back to my happy weight which is between 9st and 9st 2lb (am shortarse).

I know it's only a few pounds but I lose weight very slowly (thanks, impending middle age Angry) so whereas ten years ago I could have lost it by not snacking for a couple of days, these days I have to make a concerted effort.

I'll be using MFP and aiming to walk 1,000 miles this year - dodgy knees and lack of time make other forms of exercise tricky, but Tbh when I have exercised more in the past I just end up starving hungry and eating more!

I'm in. I'm about 10st2 at the moment (about 9st12 before Xmas...). My ideal is 9 and a half but that might be a struggle. I'd be happy with anything under 10st, but I need to put muscle back on. I've largely stopped working out since having a baby 2.5 years ago so although I am now back to my preg weight I'm a lot less toned.

I am in too. I want to lose about 10lbs. I am currently in between dress sizes so would like to get back down to the smaller size. I am planning on really cutting back on the crisps and chocolate and going on a couple of long walks each week.

Hi all, I've put on 10 lbs over the christmas period, still in the healthy weight range but don't want it creeping on like it has before. So I'd like to join if I may. Also a short person with wee bones. Just having the last bottle of prosecco this eve, then I'm good to go.

I'm in. Was 9st8 this morning and really would love to be 9 stone. I am pondering starting running but it's so cold and wet and I will look so unfit!
Going to only have one or two drinks a week and only eat if I'm hungry. Have eaten so much rubbish over the festive period that I wouldn't normally touch. Am looking forward to some bowls of cereal for my evening meal!

Can I join you? I am 9st9lb and would like to be 9stone. I have been doing really well on the exercise front in the last 3-4 months, bootcamp twice a week and have started doing Parkrun (very slowly, but still...) on a Saturday. DH and I are doing dry January as well which should help. 1lb a week would be fine by me.

I'd like to join in too please. I am in healthy weight range at around the 10st mark but would like to be 9.7 where I feel better and it seems maintainable so it doesn't creep. I find losing weight very difficult and slow. Last year I did 'dry February' - not a pound lost. I also (later in the year) did the 'couch to 5k' thing since I never exercise beyond walking. This was a really big deal for me as I've never run in my life, and i thought it might be the silver bullet. It wasn't. Did no good at all weight-wise. Then I tried calorie-counting, and discovered that my evening meal, which I always cook from scratch, almost invariably came out at about 600 cals. So I stuck to 500 cals through the day, then ate my 'normal' family meal (trying to go steadily on the carbs) and it did work, but oh my so slowly. I think I'm going to go back to that from this week.

Hello - can I join? I'm rubbish at social media so will try to actively contribute! I am also rubbish as I don't know how much I weigh maybe 10 and a half stone and would like to be 10 stone.

Great idea for a thread as lots of my friends are either perfect weight, or heavily overweight.

Thanks!

Can I join I'm 11st 11 but 5'9 and I need to be just under 11 stone, ideally 10 stone anything!

I feel ready to go and aim for 10000 steps everyday, eating sensibly, no alcohol and I'm going to try and swim twice a week. Ideally I'll be at my target weight by mid February, fingers crossed.

Me too please - weighed in at 10.2 this morning and I'm only 5'1 so not feeling great. Am going to low carb to get it off. If I could get to 8.12 which is what I was this time last year I'll be happy. None of my clothes fit !!!

Woohoo! This is just what I need! I am currently about 10 stone 4 lbs (but have not done the dreaded post Xmas weigh in yet) ShockShockShock

I had a baby 18 months ago and have steadily been gaining weight since she has been born. I only weighed 10 stone when I was pregnant full term so god knows how I've liked another stone and a bit on!

I'll be watching this with interest

Hi there - Me too please, I was 10st 3lb yesterday and ideally would like to be 9 stone which is my pre-pregnancy weight. I was over 12 stone when I had my baby in June as I pretty much ate non-stop for the whole 9 months.
This last stone is proving very difficult to shift! I'm still breast feeding so can't restrict my calories too much but just need to not eat the junk!
