Scared of excess skin

I think my fear of excess skin is stopping me ? I also look at people like Tina Malone and Pauline Quirk and think, wow you look like shit since you got thin. I cannot get passed the idea that fat is better than a bag of wrinkly skin. As soon as I lose weight of my mumtum it starts to gt lose and I panic and stuff my face.
Anyone else?

I have a lot to lose (lost 23lbs, got 76 to go) and already I've noticed that by body goes loose and wobbly for a couple of weeks and then snaps back to being tighter. The loose stage usually comes just before I get a "woosh" on the scales.

Personally there's no way I'll escape without loose skin because I've been (varying levels of) obese for about 15 years but I figure I'll look a helluva lot better than I do right now. I'll never be on the cover of Women's Fitness but I'll be able to shop anywhere and know that I look good in my clothes, and that I'm much healthier.

At my heaviest, my BMI was 38.4 and I got out of breath tying my shoes.

I've lost 3+ stone since June & I have another stone to go & I have a horrible saggy belly. In a way it ruins the weight loss but the benefits of the weight loss far outweigh the unsightly skin. I'd rather be fitter, stronger & healthier with a sagging tummy tucked into my pants than puffing up a hill & not being able to buy nice clothes from a high street store.

I get stretch marks easily & my belly stretched from my first pregnancy so the damage isn't purely down to the weight loss.

This is my fear too, but I have gallstones and the weight has to come off.

I'm going to enjoy myself (moderately) this week and then on 1st January I'm starting up with MyFitnessPal again - low fat diet - and aiming for 1500 calories a day. That should mean a pound a week weightloss and hopefully my skin will be able to keep up with that!

Have you ever thought about surgery? Save up and have it as a reward once you're fit and healthy?
It might be too extreme for you, but I had a breast reduction and lift and it has done so much for my self esteem and confidence. I'm so glad I did it.

My tummy skin is vile after losing 3st and my boobs have always been saggy and are worse after weightloss and breastfeeding.

My stomach is the worst. I had awful stretch marks during pregnancy and even when I had a bump, the part underneath sagged and was floppy underneath the roundness of the bumplay... it's left me with a 'front bum' which makes me so depressed. Exercise and a good diet has helped but I think surgery is my only option.

Im saving up for a tummy tuck and breastlift, but the surgeon advised me to lose a further 2st first. I'm 26 and single so I think I need to do it for my self-confidence

I lost 5 stone and didn't have lots of excess skin. Even if I did I would rather not be obese and have to maybe face health consequences.

low fat diet

Please please please understand the science of weightloss. Low fat is not likely to be the way to go.
