What's worked for you?

Just that really. I want to lose about 1/2 a stone. I'm at the upper end of normal BMI, some clothes don't fit and I generally like the way I look better with a bit less weight. I've previously done 5:2 (except about 700 calories on fast days- 500 was too much, I felt ill and couldn't concentrate at work) and lost weight well. Steady weight loss of 1-3lb a week. I've been doing it again for the last 8 or so weeks and so far have lost 3lb with nothing for last 3 weeks so feeling disheartened. Anyone else had this/got tips to get weight loss going again or found other diets good? Dh doesn't need/want to lose weight so doing 2 days a week when DS has his tea at nursery is easy enough for me to adapt for DH. I don't want to have to cook different meals for everyone so if doing a new diet it would need to be family friendly!

How many calories are you eating on non fast days? You should maybe ask the question on the 5:2 thread, there's great knowledge there.

My Fitness Pal (MFP) worked for me.
Just made me think more about what I eat, how much, and the amount of calories some food has (some surprises for me!).
I lost about a stone in a year.
I didn't do much exercise but did stop ddrinking alcohol, heavily cut down on takeaways, decreased portion sizes and resisted any offer of cake at work! Smile

Don't do Juice Plus. It's a stupid MLM money con. Fruit is full of sugar and juicing it is even worse.

My fitness pal or similar helps to get an idea of what portion sizes should be etc
