Hello, just wondering if anyone else is in, or has been in, a similar position?
This year I had breast cancer. All treatment in finished now except for long term hormonal treatment in the form of tamoxifen. I'm 33.
My oncologist recommended trying to become a bit leaner and to maintain a healthy weight. I'm 5'5" and weigh 10st 7lbs, so not technically overweight but at the top end of a healthy BMI. I'm really struggling to lose anything at all recently. I've lost about a stone since finishing chemo just through eating healthily (the steroids and sickness really messed up my eating habits). Recently been trying the 5:2 diet and like what the doctor who publicised it had to say about cancer prevention. But it's just not working. I'm logging everything on MFP and have one cheat meal per week and one glass of wine.
Anyone been here? Is it the hormones? It's so bloody frustrating. I can't fit into my pre-cancer jeans and it's getting me down...which is ridiculous, because I'm healthy abd should be grateful for that, but it's how I feel.
And I'exercising too - run for 30mins 3 times a week and am generally active with school runs etc.
Thanks for reading.
