Do you give yourself rewards for losing weight and what are they?

Just that really. Do you give yourself rewards for hitting mini targets and what are your rewards? Looking for motivation. Was thinking I would reward myself every half a stone off but my usual reward or treat would be a nice meal so thinking that defects the object.

Sorry. Defeats the object.

How much do you plan to lose? Maybe every dress size down you achieve you can buy yourself something really beautiful in that new size

New clothes!

Both a necessity (if you're planning every half a stone) and a treat

First stone - proper gym kit
Second stone - six sessions with the gym trainer.

For first stone, bought myself some nice bubble bath, as opposed to £1 for 500ml Radox. It was on offer, £4 for 250mls, not mega expensive but a treat.

I was trying to lose three stone. Going to hit the one stone off mark son as only a could of pounds off but I have struggled the last couple of weeks to stick with it so am trying to re motivate myself. Was thinking maybe clothes for the one stone as need some but don't want to spend much as hopefully they won't fit for long!

A weekend away is my planned reward for goal but it's a long running joke. Years ago my dh promised to take me to a place I really want to go if I got down to my goal and I have dieted and got close so often but never managed to hit goal. This time will be different. Not that we can actually afford to go at the moment but I can bank the promise if I get there.Smile

Do you eat out often? One meal isn't going to derail you... Well, it shouldn't but you know your personality type better than I!

My treats are usually things I need but can't afford at the moment. I want a kettle bell and some new mobility gear. Otherwise it's a massage or getting my nails done. For really small goals it might just be going out for coffee or a glass of wine (and actually just the one).

Some may disagree..
But it worked for me...
Weigh in was a Tuesday, and every Tuesday as long as I had lost weight I would have a 'treat night' whereby I would have some of the goodies I was missing during the week - including some sort of meal/take away.
That way I was less likely to fail during the week as I had satisfied my cravings. And if you like food, that doesn't go away just cause your dieting!
I lost 4 1/2 stone in about 6 months.. So it genuinely did work for me!
Good luck on your weight loss journey - I will be straight back on mine once my baby arrives Grin xx

Main reward is being lovely and slim now.

I do buy odd bits to wear because all my old clothes are too big. And yes, gym clothes. I live in them now so it makes sense!

A new nail varnish is a good treat and you can't snack when you are waiting for your nails to dry! Smile

My DH offered me £1 per pound lost and handed over £500 when I hit 50lbs! But you should definitely treat yourself for achieving mini goals, I like Chanel nail polish so it's usually one of those.

Isn't that £10 per pound lost??

It was a few years ago for me but I did nice bubble baths, make up, shoes etc. I avoided food rewards for obvious reasons and clothes too - no point as I was still losing weight.
