Our whole family needs to lose weight. I have completely lost all confidence about what is a balanced diet and right portion size. I've tried to find a family menu plan for weight loss. Has anybody done this or could recommend a resource
You could try just cutting out snacks and sticking to healthy meals that are portion controlled and try to include lots of veg, fruit and water. healthy versions of foods that you all already enjoy could be a good start.
I've cut right down on bread and wheat in our house as I notice that dh, ds1 and I all put on weight if we eat too much of it.
Do you do any activities as a family? Walking, kicking a ball around, frisbee are all fun activities.
There is a lot of information out there on healthy eating, which would apply to everyone, but I've not come across anything specifically aimed at whole families.
