PCOS & Low GI Diet whilst TTC

I've just been diagnosed with PCOS following an early miscarriage. I've not been offered any treatment yet but I've read that a Low GI diet can improve some of the symptoms and increase your chances of conceiving naturally.

Is anyone else in the same boat and would like to chat/share daily menus?

I have PCOS - diagnosed when struggling to conceive. Low GI was not enough for me - I've found a combination of fasting and low carb has worked best at regulating my cycles and I'm now within 'normal' range every month and have been for the last year. Previously, my cycles could be a long as 44 days apart.

Sorry to hear you had a miscarriage due to the condition. Flowers

Hi boldly, Thanks for your reply. That's really interesting, did you trial Low GI when you got your diagnosis?
Have you managed to conceive since your cycles have regulated?

I did trial low GI but we were very far along the track before I eventually got a diagnosis and I was scheduled for IVF so never had a chance to test it for conception. We are going to try and conceive again soon though and hope to manage naturally this time. I am very aware that chances is success for us are low though - not only because of the increased miscarriage risk with PCOS but also because I'm closer to 40 than 35 now.
