Thinking of getting a fitbit to help me keep track of my steps etc.
I have absolutely no idea where to start.
Do they sync with your phone? I have an samsung s7 edge so would need it to sync with that or can you just use it without syncing? Which type is best?
And above all are they actually worth it?

In our family we have found that they break easily but customer care is very good and they replace them. My son's Garmin has lasted ages however.

Oh, and yes, I think they are worth it.

I've got a fitbit flex. It was a gift and i love it. I synced it with my phone, which is also a shitty crappy Samsung. I suspect its the phone, but I can't keep it synced with it, despite re-setting flex and deleting and reloading the app on the phone. I now have it syncing with my ipad. It is fascinating to see how many steps you take and how badly I sleep. I think they are great and you can set up challenges with friends who have them as well.

I've got the fitbit alta and a galaxy s7. I love it. It's really motivating me to walk more. But its possible a cheap version would have done that too. Only problem I've had is occasionally you have to reset it after charging. Which has to be done whilst plugged into the charger (not much use when you grab it and rush out to work leaving the charger at home)

I love mine and can often be seen running up and down the stairs in the evening trying to make the days target number of steps.
Without it I would just be relaxing on the couch.
So for me it has improved my activity levels.

I love my fitbit flex. It was my Christmas present from my sisters a few years ago. We all have one and regularly do challenges. It definitely makes me walk more.

I've just dug mine out to start using again. Really like them. You download an app on your phone for them to sync with, and can use that to track what you eat as well, and put in your weight loss goals. The more you move the more the calorie allowance goes up. You can just use them as a pedometer though, definitely recommend.

I've just got an Alta and I really love it- it definitely motives me. I used to have a Flex but it was old and the battery didn't last a day. The Alta needs charging once a week for an hour!

I also love it cos I receive my texts and calls on it too, perfect for work as I can't have my phone out.

I have a Fitbit Alta & I really like it. My friend persuaded me to get one so we could link up & compete in step challenges & it really motivates you to get moving. My husband ended up buying one too & he is walking to work instead of taking the bus.

The Alta links to your phone & vibrates when you get a call or text & displays the caller & start of text. It also vibrates if you sit too long.

I really like mine & im glad I bought it

I have the blaze which I love. I do about 6000 steps if I'm not trying which surprised me I thought i did more Blush So it forces me to go out for an extra walk or up/down the stairs to reach 10,000. Once or twice a week I get to 15k too.
