Intuitive/mindful eating?

Hi has anyone done intuitive eating or mindful eating and lost weight and kept it off.

I've been reading about it and also susie orbach's book "on eating" and like what I've read.
I've spent so many years on diets and healthy eating plans I don't know what right anymore. My eating and thinking has become disordered. These kind of approaches seem to be about common sense

I did some group sessions with a NHS councillor 18 months ago. They were fun and interesting. But didn't think much of them.

But, I now regularly do not clear my plate, and am able to eat two or three biscuits rather than the whole packet. This has taken me by surprise so some of it must have stuck.

Sorry. I have not lost weight yet but have 'maintained' for a year or more and I now feel ready to try to lose weight again.

Hi missnevermind thanks for reply, I've got 2 threads on this board about intuitive eating and ditching diets. I've done a fuller reply on my other one, what's your experience of int eating etc it's sounds like at least you're keeping the weight of - better than gaining itSmile

I honestly thought it was a total waste of time while I was doing it. we did a six week course and I really didn't see the point of any of it. But like I said some of it must have stuck and I've lost 8 pounds since the beginning of the school holidays
