I'm not the only one who put on weight last week. I thought it would be good to post our strategies for coping and keeping positive.

I have been trying to visualise myself stepping on the scales next week and having lost the 1lb I put on and another one. Just hope I'm not setting myself up for disappointment!

HI demented I also need to keep positive after traumatic weigh in yesterday and then went and had a bit of a binge. But saw a mum last night at ballet who said I looked like I was melting so felt a bit better.

Hi! Sorry I missed the weigh-in, I've been away. Have neither lost nor gained this week, but I'm still feeling very pleased:

I have just bravely opened the suitcase on top of my wardrobe with those clothes in that I didn't want to throw out, but which haven't fitted me for 7.5 years ... i.e. since I was pregnant with ds1 ... and they ALL fit really well I've packed up a big bag of stuff for the charity shop and am feeling really positive.

Thank you all on here - it has been such a motivation for me. I can't believe I've lost 11 lb in 4 weeks, and it's not been that difficult.

I've got a wedding to go to in 4 weeks' time ... I've always loathed shopping, but I can almost summon up the enthusiasm to go a choose something soon.

Well done Roisin. Its a great feeling isn't it? I can get into some old things too and now I wish I hadn't given so much away during my last big clear out!
I wont be weighing myself for the next two weeks as I am going on holiday.I am hoping to gain no more than three pounds max. Any tips anyone for coping on holiday?

Is it an eclipse or is it my arse?! Seriously, I have about half a stone to shift now, but I swear, NOTHING has come off my bum or hips, I feel very pear shaped
Anyone got any suggestions? And if you are going to say exercises, for goodness sake, say it slowly and quietly - and tell me which ones, I'm exerphobic

Gulp, I've had 24 1/2 points today, I'm on 20!

We were watching a video and DH bought popcorn, me thinking that's fine popcorn's quite low in points, DH brings TOFFEE POPCORN and two 200g bags of the stuff at that! I'm afraid I couldn't resist, I must have had about 100g, I've just checked the points and it's 8!!! The means 16 points for me tomorrow.

Nooooo Lisa, noooooo!!!

Just remembered it's actually 26 1/2 I've had today, I'd forgotten about two ice lollies . Did spend an hour or so down the park with DH, DS1 and DS2, having a kick about and throwing the frizbee, so maybe that'll cancel a couple out .

Am really going to hammer it this week now I have had bad bad bad weekend. yes it is good when people notice but have to get over the enormity of my weight and get things in perspective. Once I do that will be better adn can concentrate on having a good good week. Its late and so keep repeating myself. Lisa half a stone you lucky thing! Guess though its the worst half to loose.

glitter, 4lbs is great. Don't think I'm going to do so well this week - was going in the right direction until Saturday, then had an upwards blip which seems to be less of a blip than I'd like it to be! I confess that I've been weighing every day, just as a measure of progress (although only recording the results once a week), and it's stubbornly stayed exactly the same for the last three days despite having digital scales which are supposedly accurate to 1/4lb. Must be the effect of looking at those clothes which don't fit me and trying to anticipate when they will. Will someone please tell me to stop browsing ebay looking at stuff which is not going to fit me (or at least not yet)?

1/2 lb for me this week could've done better but at least it's not 1/2lb on. Have big weekend out this weekend...first time in ages and I intend to enjoy it as much as I can. I've set a target next week of 1 1/2 lb off this week so i'd better dust off the treadmill and get walkin

I have not been counting points this week but hopefully the weigh in tomorrow will be good

Well perhaps there is something to be said for the mobile sauna those of you in London call the tube after all. At least having to trail down there today seems to have shifted "the blip", so 3lbs down overall for the week, which is double what I was thinking it would be this morning.
