9 Stone to Lose Before April 2018.... Doable?

I need some hand holding I think and maybe some lots to lose buddies?

I need to realistically lose 9 stone in total to get to a healthy weight and I want to do it before I get married in 2018, with enough time between goal and the wedding to sustain it and get used to a new body... is this pipe dreaming or is this doable?

I'm doing weight watchers and I'm down to 17st 5.5lbs from 9st 1lb (YIKES!) just after Christmas. Progress has been difficult due to a mental health hiccup the last few months but I've got myself back together and I'm ready to pick this up again now.

I had a "CLICK!" moment last night which said if I don't do this now I never will, so I need to get my sizable arse in gear! Grin

Anyone in a similar boat?

I need to lose 5 stone and i want to do it before Dec 2016. I have been looking at Lighter Life.
My friend did it, i have been for a meeting but i was not sure about not eating any fresh food.

Welcome to the big losers club callmesausage!

What's on the menu for everyone today?

I try to eat 6 times a day at 2.5 hour intervals to prevent ridiculous cravings so today I'm having:

(NB: "Sp's" means smartpoints for the weight watchers uninitiated! I get 39 per day and 42 on top of that per week to spend on treats/ extras/ wine)

Breakfast: 20g Rice Crispies - 2sps
330ml Semi-skimmed milk (tea and cereal allowance) - 6sps

Mid - morning snack: Peach - 0sps

Lunch - Tuna sandwich (light mayo, hovis seed sensations bread) and quavers - 11sps

Afternoon Snack - Banana - 0sps

Dinner - Roast beef, roast potatoes (200g raw weight), roast parsnips, a butt ton of 0 sp veggies and an aunt bessie's yorkshire pudding Grin - 15sps

Supper: Highlights hot choc and 2 WW ginger and lemon cookies - 5sps

Total: 39sps Smile

Doesn't feel much like a diet when you're eating that much!

Hi, just wanted to say that you can do it! My friend has lost 6stone in just over 12 months with slimming world, and looks amazing for it!

I've got 3st to lose so not as much but still a lot, just struggling with motivation at the moment 😖

Sounds like a good food day! Not sure what I'm having. Am sticking to 1300 calls a day. Weigh in day for me is Friday. I've had that click moment too, thank god, been waiting for it to come for. Long time!

I lost over 100 lbs a few years ago but have put most back in. I just keep thinking about the nice clothes a had and that I really really want to wear them again!

rockchick That's really encouraging to hear it's doable thank you! 3 stone is no easy feat so feel free to jump on the thread here for support even with less to lose Grin

sausage 100lbs is incredible! My entire adult life the most I've ever lost is 2 stone but I think this time is different and (hopefully) the very last time I'll need to shift this much!

We are in this together ladies, who's still awaiting a "click!" moment? Maybe we should share ours to see if it helps?

I want to lose 4 stones by the time I am 50 in November and another stone later if possible.
Today is my 2nd day.

I have stash of 2 boxes of replacement meal multi proteing powder called Almased.
Due to the rythm of my day I have 2 shakes a day - one for breakfast and one in the evening.
During the day I have work canteen with amazing choice of salads and vegan side dishes so lots of beans and slow release energy vegetables such as sweet potato or squash, tomatoes, grilled aubergine and cougette, carrots or parsnip. I eat a good portion of them around 1 pm and feel very satisfied.

I usualy have expresso in the morning and drink water for the rest of the day.

I feel this time I can do it. I am in a goof mind frame.

I have wedding on 21/08 and would love to lose 2 stones by then. It's 10 till then weeks so is doable.

Morning!

Yesterday evening went a bit off-piste, we had friends over and I'd had a bad day at work so out came the cadbury's! I tracked it all though and I still have some weekly points left so it wasnt as bad as it could have been!

Weigh in isnt until Monday so plenty of time to pull it back if needed Grin

I realised last night I self destruct when things don't go to plan: I'm not eating because it makes me feel better I'm eating because it reaffirms my sense of failure Confused why do I do that??

Loss So Far: 24lbs (did't realize it was this much! Blush)
Method: Weight Watchers Smart Points Grin Although I did do Paleo for the first 13lbs!

I've been obese all my life, have never been in the "overweight" category for my BMI and have no idea what I look like at a healthy weight Blush

crosses fingers and prays I only have 1 chin as a thin person

May I join? I could use the motivation. I've put weight on steadily since my teens, and only managed to lose any when TTC, which I managed through strict low carb. I'm about to re-start low carbing tomorrow (after the shopping arrives tonight) so hopefully I'll get somewhere with that again.

My sister gets married next May so I need to lose some for that, but my ultimate goal is my 10th wedding anniversary next September.

safyre you and I have exactly the same start weight, that's mad!

Best of luck on the low carbing, I did that when I did Paleo and my God it shifts the weight fast! I couldn't keep it up long enough but you sound proper determined Grin

I try not to weigh myself unless I have to (at doctors) or I just get into a spiral of weighing weekly, then daily, then a few times a day and if each time doesn't show a loss, I get all destructive and 'what's the point?' and go off on a binge...

My husband lost 10 stone in 1 year and is now super fit which is quite inspiring if not annoying...

Method: Meal replacement for 2 meals + v.healthy balanced lunch. Will revise in a few weeks time.

I am doing well. I forgot to have breakfast yesterday and by the time I got home at 8 pm I was starving (regardless of my big lunch). I had some soup spart from my meal replacement shake. I had to talk myself from having a biscuit! Itcwoukd never be just one
