So I'm overweight, been trying to lose weight for just under a year by eating less and moving more. My weights come to a bit of a stand still, and I've still got a long way to go. Done every diet going except juice plus...there's around 50 people on my Facebook trying to sell it to me, and I'm suddenly thinking "should I give it ago?"

DH says it's a waste of money, blah blah, and I'm put off by some of the pictures that they use, and I know there's no magic pill, shake, I should just elmm, but was wondering if anyone actually has done Juice plus? What results you've had?

So you want to drink juice for the rest of your life? Cause that's the only way you will maintain your weightloss.

Should have said or magic shake, sorry Blush

No I definitely don't want to just live off juice or shakes or whatever it is they do, but the woman messaging me says they actually eat other food too? And take some sort of sachet to help you feel full before meals, so was just wondering if anyone has really had a good experience from it, as I'm a bit unsure about it.

I lasted two days. I like actual food too much.

Natasha this is what I was afraid of! So you don't actually eat normal food too?

Love your name btw! Grin

I did Cambridge weight plan and lost 5 stone, but didn't do the steps properly to stop and over time put it all back on plus one! But after this baby I will be doing it again, it works. But it's NOT a long term solution you have to re-educate yourself in terms of healthy eating and exercise

They 'eat clean.' Except this vegetable isn't 'clean' and that fruit is 'strictly once a week' and this is wrong and that is wrong and gluten will kill you.
So you can eat.... Steak. And maybe some broccoli?

Goodness! I don't think I could live like that. I don't even really like steak! Hmmm...
Better look for something else. Or just try and re-find my will power!

Imho don't waste your time or money on it.
Take a good quality daily multivitamin & multimineral; eat lots if fruit & vegetables; stick with pulses, lean meats, eggs & fish for your proteins plus whole grains. Smoothies if you want a juice shot.
Healthy, cheap & facilitates a gentle weight loss.

And not gimmicky or unnatural.
(And also not an overpriced MLM)

Best wishes for your ongoing health

Ahhh no, def stay away, you don't fix or solve anything by consuming things like that. They don't help people lose weight, it's the "clean eating" or whatever they call it that does that but they believe it is the magic potions. Typical, clever marketing!

You can do it, you don't need that, you show 'em!

It's overpriced slimfast. Do slimfast if you want a meal replacement plan. Both are horrible and will leave you hungry but slimfast is much cheaper.

I'm also trying to lose weight, a lot of it! Not following a diet plan, just eating stuff I know is good for me and avoiding all the junk. Have joined a gym and am enjoying getting active.

If you have the money to spend instead of spending it on juice plus would you consider a couple of hours of personal training sessions? I always find a renewed motivation if I have a pt session once a month or so.

You said yourself you've tried every diet out there and they haven't worked, why do you think this will be different?

Thanks everyone for your replies!
I'm one of those people that wants everything yesterday, and because my weight loss has slowed down i was getting tempted seeing all the "amazing results" they post.

I'm just going to keep on eating healthy, less and moving more with my Fitbit. DH is quite in to fitness and not at all annoying with it so when he's home I'm sure he will do me a plan. I like the idea of saving the money I'd spend on gimmicks for new clothes when I'm thinner, so will definitely do that. Smile
