I'm currently training for the great Manchester run later this month. I'm of slim build since feb due to training.

I eat low carb, protein rich and i work out for roughly 1/2hrs a day.

We have just been talking at work (I'm on the night shift) about weight and I said to one of the girls "how much do you think I weigh?" she said about the same as me....shes very very over weight and I'd say a size 18......I'm in size 14 trousers now....i think I might sound stupid but I'm petrified I'm as big as her and I cant see it....xx

How much do you weigh and how tall are you? A size 14 varies dramatically from one shop to another.

That's a hugely obnoxious question to ask, OP, especially to someone who clearly weighs more than you do! I wouldn't credit her response with any value. She was likely embarrassed and offended and didn't know what to say.

Im about that height, and weight 10st 1lb. And still have another half a stone to lose

Im size 10-12 just now, i find it hard to believe that someone 3st heavier than me is only one dress soze bigger than me.

Well i fit perfectly in size 14 clothes and a 16 is too big for me..

I'm the same height and weight as you op and I'm definitely a 16 in trousers but can fit into some 14 tops/dresses (stretchy ones lol) I think it's vanity sizing though. I was a size 14 as a teenager and weighed 2 stone less.

The way clothes fit varies so much though, depends on body shape etc. There's no way I could tell someone's weight by looking at them, other than in the vaguest possible way. I bet your colleague was having a wild guess and wondering how the hell not to offend you!

Well the same person sawvme this morning after my shift at work and she said I've lost weight (I'm training for the Manchester 10k.) I'm low carbing too so any hoo, at least im doing something about it xxxxx

I weigh at least two stone less than you and am same height and I'm a size 14 . You must have quite muscular legs ...do you. Mine are quite slim. So maybe weigh less.

The most I've ever weighed was 12-3 when I went vegetarian. All those carba and cheeses!
