Anyone done/doing easyloss vgb hypnotherapy. I'm gobsmacked, it seems to work.

That's about it really. Can't believe I have to embraced this so whole heartedly. I am such a cynic about anything with a hint of mumbo-jumbo but my NHS physic who I see for arthritic pain recommended it as an alternative to the whole diet industry merry go round so I thought I would at least investigate it. I read all the reviews on App Store, then all the reviews on Amazon - and then all the posts on the Facebook page. - see, I said I'm a cynic. ! - but finally decided they couldn't all be in the pay of the company, so decided to risk my 4.99. After all, it's slightly less than one ww meeting.

You listen to a 15 minute hypnotherapy once in daytime. (I do it when I first wake up) and once before going to sleep. It is really relaxing and really not rocket science. Just tells you to eat only when hungry, chew your food, eat what you fancy but in moderation and drink 8 glasses of water a day. I KNOW ALL THAT !! In fact I have always known all that. The difference is that I have never been able to actually stick to it for more than a week. Except that this I have managed it for 7 weeks now with this method. And best of all have lost 2st 1lb.

I saw there was a thread on here about Paul Mackenna and his vgb programme in 2013. (tried that, the only pounds lost were the cost of the book) but has anyone else out there been doing this hypnotherapy.?

Other weird 'happenings' have been the actual DESIRE' to exercise. Not just HAVING to do it. !
Would love to hear from other hypno fans. !

I haven't tried it but am intrigued. I did try the PM thing a few years ago without success. I've seen talk about Slimpods on fb recently as well.

Don't think you've said which particular app it was?

I am really sorry. I included the name in the title but didn't actually make it very clear.. It's called Easyloss virtual gastric band. Or Easyloss vgb. I got mine from the App Store and put it on my iPad...

They also sell it as a download on Amazon. (Loads of reviews, almost all positive). There is a Fb support page as well where the therapists are there to answer pretty much any questions fairly quickly.

I downloaded it and started listening but very half hearted then got out of the habit of listening. I find it difficult to fit in listening with young kids and a baby who doesn't sleep

You've inspired me to dust off the app and try again.

I'm on the Facebook group and there's loads of success stories.

I can vouch for Paul Mackenna. Yours sound similar Marilyn. I lost nearly 3 stone on I Can Make You Thin (silly title I just wanted to be slim Grin ) and am maintaining with it. It's for life I reckon.

I love it because you can go on or off it and if you had an over indulgent weekend, just wait till you feel hungry to eat slowly again Grin.

I downloaded this app and have been listening to it for 3 days however I can't remember a thing she says and often wake up long after its finished. Will it work Ido keep falling asleep while listening to her talk? Not been as hungry but only time will tell

Yes, that happened to me at the beginning too. Stick with it. I recommend the day time tape first thing, then the night time one before you sleep. Persevere , it really works.

What do you eat now in a typical day compared to before? Do you still have food like pizza and biscuits just in smaller quantities?

I've been doing the VGB for a week now. I've lost 5 llbs. You can eat what you want but just mindfully as they say on the app.
It really does work. I would recommend people check it out.

I've just downloaded this at the weekend after seeing it recommended on a different thread. The water part certainly seems to have kicked in!

I almost never drink water, and I'm addicted to Diet Coke and coffee, but for the last 3 days I've had no problem fitting in 8+ glasses. That alone is worth it, but I hope I can shift some pounds as well.

Those who started on this thread, how are you getting on?

I'm still doing it and was doing it to curb my portions and it really works. The weight loss is slow for me but it's the mindful eating which was more my goal. How are you all getting on?

I started this a couple of weeks ago but had a weekend away in the middle. I like it but I do find my mind wanders - sometimes only a few seconds in! I've just moved on to the second session and 'met' my surgeon yesterday Grin

Does it encourage exercise as well then?

I tried this last year and it just did not seem to sink in for me. I think it was because I found her voice really irritating. However, I also read all the reviews and must say that I appear to be in a minority!
