(10 Posts)Appetite for reduction is a vegan cookbook with calorie conscious recipes. All the ones i've tried, i've loved. Can't remember who wrote it but she'd done lots of cook books.
This is amazing news, another guilt free meal I can enjoy! Wish it was as easy as chucking a chicken breast in the oven dieting and being vegetarian takes so much more thought, my body is so used to carbs I worry I might die from with drawls lol
Low carb & low fat they are....
Mscolouring I'm in the exact same boat regarding mfp! I eat a lot of courgetti, but can't help but miss real pasta thanks for the suggestions I didn't know the noodles were considered low carb!
Bean chilli, rice noodles with stir fried veg and tofu, Linda McCartney sausages/burgers with veg, baked tempeh/tofu with veg, cauliflower/broccoli cheese, add nuts to stirfries, veg curries.
If you use the frozen rice portions, they're nice and small
......Add chili, peanuts, Quorn pieces, whatever floats your boat
Rice noodles & stir fry veggies & soy sauce - low carb, low fat, really easy
I am having the same issue. I am veggie and using mfp to track what I am eating. I am staying within my calories but I'm not meeting my protein goals and am usually going over my carb goals.
Veggie mince isn't particularly high calorie. I've just been reducing the amount of pasta I've eating when I have bolognaise etc. thought I might try veggie bolognaise with courgette 'pasta' or a cottage pie with sweet potato instead of normal potato. I can't eat Quorn though.
Egg based recipes like frittatas would be good too.
On a mission to loose weight and as I'm vegetarian I'm struggling with meals that arnt laden with carbs! Anyone have any recipes to share?
