Anyone with previous experience of Cambridge weight plan?(6 Posts)
Hello fellow dieters,
Has anyone else tried the Cambridge weight plan? I started it on Saturday, but am worried whether my weight loss will be slower, as my consultant has advised me to start on Sole Source + (I'm only 5ft4). He also said that it makes no difference whether I have one bar a day, and whether I have choose shakes or meal replacements (risottos etc).
All forums seem to indicate that the first couple of weeks should be a liquid diet, so wondering if any of you have tried this diet out before, and whether it makes any difference which products I choose on sole source +?

I have done the Cambridge diet, so have some experience. Actually starting again today!
Most consultant say no bars for the 1st 2 weeks, but to be honest I don't really think this matters. They are only a few more cls a day, not enough to slow you down that much. It's all about getting through it and if this keeps you going then have one. But only one a day and stick to shakes etc the rest of the time.
How much have you got to lose? This maybe a factor too? If you have loads then over the time this will make no difference to you at all.

Thanks Newme2016! I'd like to lose around 10kg (a stone and a half) at least. Had tried a few other diets, but they were going so slowly that I thought I'd give this one a go. Have found some of the meal replacements to be quite horrible, so I think I'll mostly be sticking to the shakes anyway.
How about you, how much have you got to lose? And how much are you hoping to lose this time?
Do you think that it won't make any difference being on sole source plus rather than sole source?

You will lose that pretty quickly!
I have at least 3 stone to lose. I was doing really well, then life got in the way. Anyway back on it now. Hope to look better for the summer.
Not much difference in sole source plus either. I have some milk in my tea, but only 2 cups a day. Last time I did it I lost 1 stone in 2 weeks, it was amazing!
Oh, I prefer the shakes too, love the mint choc one hot!
