exante?

Anyone doing exante? I got my box yesterday and started after a black pudding sandwich Blush so started properly today, just been out for breakfast with DD, DSis and DDad and didn't touch a thing! Feeling really motivated.

Any other exante'ers out there?

Me! I ordered them a few weeks ago but haven't been 100%. I have lost 5lbs though so it's okay. I am now on holiday and it's easier to eat less.

How are you getting on with not eating? I find it super hard when going out! Well done for making it through breakfast!

I have to say some shakes are nice, whereas others seem a bit unnatural somehow flavour wise.

Well done on your 5lb! I've had 2 shakes quite far and didn't mind them - very biscuity though. I know what you mean about the artificial taste.

Had the spag Bol for lunch and thought it was ok but I'll eat anything Blush made DP and DD a yummy lamb korma .. Think that's what I find hardest , not eating their dinners.

Hope you're having a nice holiday. That's the reason for this diet , hoping to lose a stone and a half before we jet off on our first family holiday in 6 weeks.

Yeah I am a teacher so I'm home but off work.

I find dinner hard too. I don't have children but a DP who loves to eat.

I'm getting married this summer so need to shift weight till then.

I was so grouchy last night! Kept shouting at DP Blush he texted me and told me to go and have a steak and calm down! But I pushed through and woke up this morning 6 pounds lighter! Sure it's only water weight but definitely a good feeling.

Congratulations on your wedding. How much do you want to lose?

No way, six pounds! That's more than me in three week just goes to show how much there is to lose if you do it properly. Right 100%day today.

I could lose 4 or even 5 stone to be my ideal weight but left it too late. Not sure what's realistic in three months?

Good luck today! I think 1 and a half stone is normal in your first month, then a stone a month after that. So you could lose 3 and a half stone Smile

How is it going?

I'm starting on Monday!
I did the six week plan last year and lost 1 stone (I have put it back on Blush so am doing it again). - I did start having extra food towards the end of the six weeks so that didn't help!
I'm looking forward to starting, I do find the products very processed but I figure it's only for six weeks and it works. Just need to keep it off this time!

Mine is being delivered tomorrow! I have somehow ended up with a really unhealthy attitude to food - I'm hoping that this will help break the cycle. No weighing/prepping/macros = no stress, I hope!

I've ordered enough just to do the shakes etc but have opted for the plan with a small 200ish cal meal in the evening.

Do people exercise whilst doing this? I'm going to attempt a few workouts on the second week. Just wondered if it's sensible on such few calories?

These are inflated as I'm massively overweight but on my first week I lost 17lbs, I lost 3-4stone over summer but I put it all back on plus more when I came off it. I couldn't do it again and people I know also said once you've had a long period on it that it's hard to go back on it after a fall

I got a six week box delivered on Saturday, have started this morning with vanilla crispy cereal (cornflakes!).
They were ok, hopefully I will last until 1.30.
I am 5ft 3 and weigh 11st 13lb, I want to lose at least a stone in this six weeks and then another stone.
When I have been 10st previously I have been a comfortable size 12 and would be happy with that again.

How is everyone doing? I'm on day 12, 9lbs down so far. I lost 4 stone on the Cambridge diet some years ago and kept it off for 3 years but then got comfortable and had a baby so back again to shift it!

Just ordered a four week box for the Total Plus Solution - so shakes/bars in the day and a small low carb dinner. Have done shake diets in past and they were the only way I've successfully lost weight. Put it back on when ill during pregnancy/mat leave both times. I should lose 3-4 stone but I don't think I can handle several months on such a restrictive plan so am hoping to kick-start with 4-6 weeks on Exante to break my bad binge habits and then try something else - possibly the Exante 5:2 plan.

My box arrived and I've just had my first shake - chocolate mint. It was ok. Feeling grimly determined to get this done!

I did this 2 years ago. I highly recommend it. I found it very easy. You get faster results if you do the required 20 mins or more exercise every day. I dropped 2.5 stone in about 12 weeks. It was a quick fix for me and it worked.

I've put 2 stone back on since then, but I know they do a maintenance plan now. I'm tempted to do it again, so will be reading your success stories to give me motivation.

Good luck!

I am only on Day 2 but literally shaking with hunger three hours after a shake. There is no way I could do the Total Solution and just have three for the day with nothing else! I did Alizonne in the past and it was five shakes a day and I never felt hungry. Having difficulty concentrating and pretty irritable. Hoping this passes - I need to be on top form at work on Monday and will not be able to get through if I'm still feeling like this Confused.

Ok, not sure if anyone else is coming back to this thread! But just in case I thought I'd report that Day 3 has been a vast improvement and I'm no longer hungry at all. Feeling very alert and energetic whilst simultaneously hollow and weak. It's quite odd but much easier to cope with than the hunger.

I'm here! I was just waiting for my week to be over to post my loss of 5lb! I'm happy with that as I want to lose one stone in this six weeks.
I haven't had any problems with being hungry in between meals but I have been drinking more water and sugar free squash.
There are some different products in this time which I'm enjoying, I have also shared everything out into 6 carrier bags, one for each week, so I don't get left with things I don't like in the final week and finish early Grin

5lbs is great! I only had one bad day adjusting really and now feeling fine. So far I actively enjoyed the almond milk vanilla shake and everything else has been ok. I thought I'll steal your sorting tip, that sounds very sensible!

Hi - all I have done this lost 23 pounds in 2 months, and was delighted - have maintained that through MFP and 1000 cals per day for all of April and will be back to four packs a day for May. Need the last 10 pounds off to get to the 10 stone mark for the end of May.

Major down side is the trips to the loo due to the water consumption!!! However my dry skin has had a huge improvement

Reynolds - I do that - have everything set out so there is no room for slip ups - The first two weeks for me were really hard but I lost 10 pounds in that time so that kept the motivation going!!!

Be careful on these types of diet.....I did Cambridge diet and exante and gave myself gallstones in the process. And it's bloody painful!!! 👎

I've got a 4 week box of bars and shakes that I bought in September sitting around doing nothing. Tempted to jump on board.

Report
AllThingsNautical · 25/04/2016 18:29

stressed, I'm worried about gallstones and also have read around the more serious side effects including the rare occurrences of heart failure and death that have resulted from these kinds of diet (specifically LighterLife). I'm not going to do it for more than eight weeks max as a kick start and then it's sink or swim with a more conventional diet. I need to break my habits and get into the zone but I'm well aware of the downsides of this kind of dieting- particularly as I've bloody well done it once and out the weight back on and more.

Report
AllThingsNautical · 25/04/2016 18:32

Anyway, what's been brilliant for me is that I've felt no hunger at all - I actually had to remind myself to have my bars today at work. Usually I'm starving and watching the clock til lunchtime! I'm eating a low carb dinner in the evening and am going to try to stay low carb at the end of this because when the ravenous hunger is gone, I can make really good food choices and it's making me feel quite confident about managing after this diet, whereas before I was feeling so helpless and hopeless around food.
