12 weeks, 12 lb - does anyone want to be my buddy?

I am 12lb above my happy weight and I have a party to go to! My younger brother and SIL are having a big 40th in 12 weeks. I never really got to celebrate mine, DD became very ill around that time and all plans for an amazing 40th year got shelved. So I'm aiming for 41 and fabulous instead!
I'm intending to shake off the winter blues, eat better, move more, and find some time for me, with a target of 1lb loss a week for 12 weeks. I tend to start off well and then lose motivation, I need some buddies to keep me on track. Any takers?

I'm looking to lose around the same, preferably a little more! I've been stuck at the same weight for far too long now and really need to shift it!

Hi dream thanks for your reply. I have joined the 'anything goes' thread that jelli suggested. What's your plan of action?

I'll have a look at that thread. I'm doing sw, or at least my very lax version of it! Also trying to get running again and back into yoga. I've stupidly signed up for tough mudder in sept so have to get fit!

I was on the treadmill 45 mins tonight and did 45 mins yoga, so a good start! Tomorrow will be painful though!

I'm doing a version of SW too. I went to a group to lose baby weight after DS2 and did well with it, but honestly you could reduce it to "don't eat processed food, eat more fruit and veg and cut out the crap" which everybody knows really!
I'm in awe of your 90 mins of exercise!

I'm really suffering for the 90 mins of exercise today! It pretty much is just eat less processed crap isn't it? I'm vegan so I really don't think going to the groups would work for me. My mum's starting this week too though so I'll get any extra info off her!

I did quite enjoy the SW group, knowing I would be weighed and the result shared was quite motivating to stick to it! There were a lot of people there losing and gaining the same pound every week though. I have a friend who lost 5 stone doing SW, like everything if you can stick to it, it works.

I think the lack of accountability is what's getting to me, I've told a friend I'm weighing in with her every week! Otherwise I will just be stuck losing weight mon-thurs and gaining it all back on the weekends as usual!
