Need some weight loss motivation!

Help!

I need some motivation. I am 2-3 stone over weight and I really need to get it off.
I have tried SW - lost 3/4stone, very slow and I got bored of it.
Tried low carb high fat for a few weeks but it's just too extreme I think for me.
What can I try? I think my main issue is sweet things, so perhaps cutting down on sugar might be a good start.
I just need a good kick up the backside! Some one come and shout at me blush

Hi any advice on how to get the jar stains out of clothes lo has stained a few nice items of clothing tired varnish never worked and it was the rill on one anylon advice would be great cheers loreleigrin

Lori - I'm assuming wrong thread, but incase you're reading, for food stains sometimes drying the item in sunshine helps. Has got tomato soup out for me before!

I'm seriously struggling with motivation too!

I read a book about food addiction recently and it really struck a chord so I've made a list of my "trigger foods" (stuff that I can't just eat, I have to binge on, or unhealthy things that I feel I can't live without) and I'm planning to gradually cut them out of my diet.

I've had no bread since Monday as I know I can't just have a slice, I need to eat half a loaf. This Monday I'm quitting all bread based things eg crumpets, wraps etc. Future weeks will be things like chocolate, wine etc. Can't stick to a full diet but maybe this way I can improve what I'm eating and lose weight gradually!

Yes Rockchick, I reckon cutting down on one thing at a time is maybe a good way to not get overwhelmed.
And also the notion of 'trigger' foods is interesting. I feel like once I have one sweet thing I can't stop. I need to be able to control myself. It's funny because I have smoked and found it relatively easy to stop (many years ago now) but stopping sweet things is much much harder!

I found that cutting back alcohol really helped - not just saving the calories in it, but also not becoming so relaxed that nibbling (especially cheese) seemed a good idea.

I definitely can relate to the binge trigger with certain foods. Mainly biscuits/ chocolate. Once I start i almost go into a frenzy. A few years ago I lost several stone slowly using mfp but got all my bad habits under control. Now they're back controlling me.

Ahh this is the place for me. I need/want to lose 1.5-2 stone. I have so many good reasons to do it on paper: to fit back into my old and lovely clothes, to feel confident at some family dos I have coming up and ultimately to prepare my body for TTC #2. Despite this, I have no motivation.
I've been binging on chocolate and bread. I just need a big boot up the backside!

Since starting this thread I am no further forward. I really need to address the sugar - it's a real issue for me. I'm on the hunt for some good books on quitting sugar....
