Anyone fancy starting Whole30 with me?

It's day one for me. I attempted it a couple of years ago, I studiously read It Starts with Food and did a massive Whole30 compliant food shop, then promptly came down with a terrible cold and stomach bug so I was eating whatever I could.

It's now 30 days until my hen do (a spa day with my mum then dinner and drinks with friends - nothing wild!) and I'd love to look and feel healthier before then.

Does anyone fancy jumping on the Whole30 wagon with me?

I won't be joining you, but wanted to wish you luck with it! I did the whole30 just over a year ago, I found it tough but I did lose a lot of body fat (was Crossfitting through the time too).

My advice is to cook lots of chicken in various different ways, and have it chopped up ready in the fridge, so whenever you are hungry you have that to go for - with veggies, salad, eggs...... That is what stopped me reaching for toast or crisps..... Dinners are easy, breakfast is odd and repetitive, but as long as you stop yourself from getting hungry it will be fine :-)

I've done it a couple of times, and have pencilled my next one in for May.

My top tip along with chicken is meatballs. Cook them in advance and keep them in the fridge to add to (courgette) pasta sauce, soup etc.
Hugh F-W has a Tupperware chorizo recipe which makes good meatballs, can be fried up with veg or served in a salad with tomatoes and olives for a pizza alternative.
