The Body Coach - cycle 1 starting to tomorrow. Anyone care to join me?

That's it really? I've got my pack (had it since October Blush) and am finally in the right place mentally to really give it my best shot. I've got a skiing hol in 4 weeks time so there might be a hiatus of sorts but I reckon I can manage that.

Anyone fancy joining in with me?

I started last Monday. I've been 95% on plan this week so feeling quite positive.

Eek day 1 tomorrow for me too! You've made me feel so much better already - I've been feeling guilty that I've had the plan since mid December.

I've done a fair bit of cooking prep yesterday and today and ridiculously proud of myself just for that.

I don't know if you've done any prep but have you seen the portion sizes? I can eat with the best of them but it is a LOT of food to get through!!

Well I kind of have to do it at 6am because I've got to get the house up at 7, so I need time to get showered etc after.

My HIITs of choice are the rowing machine and cross trainer.

How about this for annoying? I did a load of prepping and froze the stuff before Xmas. We went away over the holidays and something tripped the electricity so everything in the freezer was a total mush when I got back. So I'm finding it hard to galvanise myself into prepping but am going to sort as much as I can over the next couple of days. I was going to get a load done today but DH invited my parents over for lunch which too up the whole day!

wow that is annoying!! well am started- exercise done and bagel eaten! it was very good and did feel a bit "anti diet" - exercise however felt awful and very much like a diet/punishment.. looking forward to lunch!

I do think it looks like a mad amount of food .. not sure i could eat it all but am going to give it a go - especially around the veg as I never eat enough of it

I found the amount of food was too much and only ate 1/2 portions of most. The exercise nearly killed me on the first attempt but I can see a huge improvement a week on, don't get discouraged.

Bloody Ocado lost 1/2 my shopping this morning, so much for spending the day prepping my meals, so bloody annoying!

Good luck everyone - Im currently on C3 (I should have graduated but fell off the wagon over the festive period so started the last cycle again!) and have just done my chest and back workout.

I highly recommend the cashew curry and the spicy turkey mince - there's loads of great advice and encouragement in the unofficial Facebook groups too.

Did my HIIT this morning at 5.45 on the cross trainer. Bagel with egg for breakfast and then curry for lunch and salmon fishcakes for supper.

Tired tonight though (first day back at work today as well).

How did everyone else get on?

I'm on day 9 and am ready to throw in the towel. Eating so much meat is making me feel sick. I can't bear the thought of yet another chicken dish tomorrow. Argh!

Well I have to admit that I'm not sticking 100% to the recipes. So, last night I did my HIIT at 5pm and then made a mackerel kedgeree but I used the amount of brown rice listed for the curry.

I just did my HIIT for today and had that overnight porridge. OMG - it says it is for four portions, but I divided it into 5 and froze them. Just had one and could barely finish it - the portions are enormous!

I think I'm having steak tonight with spinach, asparagus and broccoli. I made the salmon fishcakes yesterday. Tasted nice but the texture was a tad strange.

Stick with it if you can (even if to chat to me about it as everyone else is worryingly quiet!! Wink)

Hi! Still at it - but failed to HIIT today( well so far). I am just finding it hard as well - food is just so dense .. I feel quite bloated from it all - trying to cut down on the meat side, up the fish and veg and see how it goes .. I can already see a tiny reduction in gut bloat so I know it works - I just struggle with it - not sure why as not hungry - guess carb cravings are bigger than I had expected..

You HAVE to try the turkey muffins - they are like little quiches from heaven! If I ever actually finish cycle 3 I'm reintroducing those into my life!

Pleased to report it only took me a week of sticking to the plan religiously to be back to the same measurements as before christmas - and to say that included about 3 weeks of eating like a total pig and swilling copious amounts of Baileys I'm happy with that! Having a bit of a batch cook today.

Stick with it - you get used to the food, I promise :)

I can highly recommend the muffins too. I couldn't find turkey bacon so I just used normal bacon, which usually I don't even like. I really hope using normal bacon isn't too much of a rule breaker as they were one of the most delicious things I've ever eaten.

Currently eating the chicken cashew curry, which I was doubtful about when cooking but it has turned out amazingly - so pleased as I'm not a cook at all!

Won't be having the muscle mince again - thank god I only made 2 portions and have ploughed through them both. The serving is huge and it's just a big pile of dry, never ending bleurgh. I also don't rate the avocado ranch thing - would much rather just eat an avocado straight.

I made a load of the turkey burgers and put them in the freezer so hoping they'll be nice as I have quite a few to get through.

Turkey muffins?!! where - they are not in my plan?! I get turkey stuffed peppers and turkey with green thai curry sauce?

Are they in book?

I'm not sure it's about the weight loss numbers though is it? The amount of weight lost isn't mentioned on the transformation pics (much as I'd like it to be!).

Turkey muffins should be in the snacks :)

I weighed exactly the same before and after cycle 2 but lost inches and looked a lot leaner.

No HIIT for me today and I missed it (mainly because I'm watching Making A Murderer as I do it and I wanted to watch the next episode!). Craving something sweet today.

Is anyone still going? I'm on day 6 - although i've not stuck to his recipes. I just eat carb free / light when not exercising and have my protein and carbs after my HIITs. It makes it easier as I can include the family. So, for lunch today it is peppers stuffed with pesto turkey mince. The family will have a bit of couscous added to their stuffing and mine will just be the turkey mince mixture.

I'm persevering Skip. I'm finding the volume of food quite hard going (not usually a problem for me) so I skipped lunch on Thursday & Friday - was just not hungry at all. There's no doubt that it completely reduces my interest in the office cakes though so I must remember that.

I'm starting to do the same as you re just protein if no exercise and carbs & protein after ex so there's a bit more flexibility.

I must admit to having the odd spoon of peanut butter here and there tooBlush

I thought i ate pretty well.....
I have been on Joe website a few times gone to put my card details and stopped, i have the book as well and i made the steak and mushrooms yesterday was good i have tosay.

I am a big eater so the size of the meals will be good for me, i have been doing the HITT workout for a week now and started eating better yesterday,
i am a bit confused as to hoe this works, i gather from after do a HITT you can have a carb meal, i always do my HITT int he morning at 7.30 ish so today had the overnight porridge thing in his book say serves 1 but had only half of it, now sitting here getting hungry so should of had the whole lot!

just to add , the weight loss isnt promoted on lean in 15 there is a picture of a woman whollooks like she must of dropped at least 3 dress sizes and weighs exactly the same...
I think we have been and still are all goverened by the scales, i come from an era of WW . slimming world etc... so it was all about the scales moving DOWNWARDS for me but wanted the body that the BC gives you !! obviously from reading everyones reviews on this from online thats not achievable it seems that the foods have to be right and the exercise also,
so i have now signed up and here goes guys.
