Just that really.

Wondering if anyone has maybe tried either / both and has a preference.

Sorry if this has been covered before! Smile

Also have been looking into LCHF, though I tried that previously and my willpower failed I found a bit restrictive, so I fell off the wagons quite quickly...

I have about a stone to lose - didn't mention that earlier sorry.

I have done both.

I lost quicker on WW but I don't feel as deprived on SW. We eat out a lot and SW is better for that.

My workmate really rates sw as she is allowed - no encouraged to eat a lot .i think that when she comes off it she has to be then careful not to eat incorrect amount of non sw stuff or she will gain and Wd need to limit non sw foods .it works v well for her .

Slimming world has worked very well for me, I know of at least 5 people who have lost decent amounts with them and kept it off for years.

This is my debate just now! I've done WW many times, and have always been successful with it when I stick to it. But I normally lose motivation after a couple of months and revert to my old ways. I was considering SW this time to see if trying something new spurs me on a bit.

Will you join a group or online?

I've looked at the sw plan and it doesn't fit as well with the things that I have lost weight eating on ww in the past.

I also prefer to be counting things. I like to know when I've had a bad week, rather than turn up thinking I've done ok but haven't because i've been on a no-counting plan. I have seen a lot of people on the (old) no count plan at weightwatchers struggle with the 'eat til you are comfortably full, then stop' and have a friend who has remained about a stone away from target for all the time I've known her (over ten years) because she's following sw habits, but either not well enough or they just don't allow her to keep losing weight.

Another friend and my sister both swear by it. But a lot of what they eat I just wouldn't eat.

I've joined ww again - thanks to the topcashback it's been free for the first month - and am getting to grips with the new plan.

Thanks for comments.

Meetings vs online is another debate I'm having. I have actually been to a WW meeting once and HATED it. I vowed never to go again actually. I found it hard to get into and didn't warm to the leader very much. I'm sure it works for lots of people but I didn't get on with it on that particular day.

Just read about the topcashback offer on another thread though, so could be tempted to try a different meeting as it's for free! Smile

I never stayed to meetings SO boring!

There is bronze silver gold membership online for SW plus a discount code of WOMAN2016 will give a further discount.

I always did WW but I just need to try something else to motivate me and a few colleagues and few friends were doing SW so they could advise me.

Just rejoined WW tonight. I successfully lost 2 1/2 stone with them 10 years ago, but have put it all back on in the last couple of years. They have a new plan out which I need to get my head round - hope it works as well this time.
