How are we all planning to cope over the festive period?

Have shifted 25lbs and then it all went to shit and I gained 6 back in a month

I don't want to totally undo all my hard work I am back on it now and hoping to shift that pesky 6lb in next 3 weeks BUT I cannot face the thought of Christmas without some treats?

Are you allowing yourself some "time off"?, Will you up your exercise?, Will you carry on as you are?

I use MFP (1300 cals a day), walk 10k a day and have no carbs with evening meal 4-5 times a week.

I have been buying bits for the festive period and we have so much junk, sadly resisting temptation is not my strong point.

Was thinking of having Xmas Eve, Xmas Day, Boxing day, NYW and NY day 'off' and trying to be as healthy as possible inbetween.

Why the hell did I have to see Baileys on special offer... £12 for 1L and we now have 4!! We will gift a few though lol.

ETA I have events on the days I plan to take "off" healthy eating which will make it hard to control what I am eating... Not to mention I want to enjoy some festive food.

I' hoping to eat drink and be merry from 25 to 28 December inclusive and then get back on the wagon. It doesn't work if I try to stick to a diet over Christmas but I do need some boundaries. I've no intention of weighing myself and getting all upset in the following days, so I won't weigh in again until 7 January when hopefully there will be minimal effect.

I am having the same days off as you. I will limit my treats ( i low carb) to nuts, cheeses etc and will have a smaller portions of food. I always end up feeling sick and bloated over xmas and i want to avoid that. There is a local 5k run over xmas and i intend to do that. Otherwise lots of healthy walks and minimal treats in the house. Well thats the plan!

This year i will buy one pack of nice chocs, one box of nice biscuits (for my mum mainly) etc. I do however have 8 bottles of processco in the house.

Then i wont weigh until the xmas season is looonnggg past. I actually like a few nice salads between xmas and ny as i get a bit fed up of heavy gravy based meals.

I've said no to a works meal out (didn't really like the look of the set menu anyway, so no loss, but def a considered choice to turn down the nice out).

I have joined ww just 2 weeks ago and am committed to counting my points and avoiding indulgences. Usually I bake and practise bake before Christmas. Being at ww means I will make the usual bakes, but only enough for the Christmas week. No trial runs!

We have our last meeting on the 21st, then I shall relax for a week between Christmas eve and new year's eve, without going too mad. There's no meeting on the 28th, so I will have a few days to be back on track again before weighing in on the 4th to see the damage.
