Loose wrinkly skin after weight loss. Cream?

Lost nearly 4 stone. 2 DC. Any tips for firming up loose skin on tummy. Exercise? Cream? Anything else that doesn't involve surgery?

Can't add anything useful, but I have the same problem.

Never found a cream that made a difference but exercise has helped to a certain extent. Unfortunately this seems to be the bit that no one really talks about. It took me a very long time to come to terms with the reality of my body shape after reaching my target. Mostly over it now and focus on how good I feel not lumbering all that weight about.

Idefix do you think exercise helps in terms of just gaining muscle tone or in some other way like circulation? What exercise did you do? Abdominal excercises? Yes I am glad not to be carrying the weight too.

toning, toning and more toning : anything to get the blood flowing under the skin and kick it into repair mode
swimming is good too as the buoyancy lets the skin re shape

I am not convince that it is the circulation that improves things maybe need to reflect on that such as skin tightness. I have lost over five stone and now less than 2/3s of my original weight. I did this in a slow steady way and exercise through out - aerobics, cardio machines, cycling and walking.
I think to a certain degree very over stretched skin can't just ping back, I also had two very large babies and carried extra water due to both dc having kidney issues by csection. I have an empty over hang of skin on my lower abdominal area Sad, I think nothing short of a tummy tuck will tone this.

Sorry if this sounds a little negative, I am still thrilled with myself for fixing my weight issue and I look very good dressed Grin. Exercise will make you feel good and promote your health.

Ah yes, stretch marks will stay stretched
but the skin in between them will shrink
lots of exercise and moisturise and clean eating

Thanks for the advice. I will try exercise and moisturising. It is the stretch marks that's the problem. I had many many wide stretch marks during my pregnancies. I had a c section with dc1 too Idefix. So I have all this wrinkled rippling hanging over scar. There wasn't a lot of skin left between the stretch marks. Delightful. But I suppose I do just have to accept it.

Haha Fluffy that must my problem too. Dh has offered me a tummy tuck but don't think it is something I am prepared to go through not good with pain and suspect that if the overhang is fixed my eyes will focus on another part of my body.
Really is no helping some people!

Yes I see what you mean Idefix. If I had a tummy tuck I would then want my saggy tits sorted, then have my bingo wings clipped, then get my lazy eye fixed, then have liposuction on my chin...etc etc..and would probably still be unhappy with my body.

FWIW fake tan makes stretch marks look better
actually I have a real tan as I swim outdoors all year
but pasty white is not good for the brain Smile
