I'm going to lose 3 stone

I just thought I'd tell you Smile

I have done it before and I know I can do it again. I rejoined the gym and had a good workout today. I've let myself slip into overweight chubbiness and it isn't a pretty sight at 5'3!

12 and a half stone Blush - am determined to be 9 and a half!

If anyone fancies cheering me on, feel free Smile

I CAN do this!

Good Luck Honey. How are you going to do it, other than the gym? And why did you regain the weight do you think. I always think that if you lose weight it has to be a sustainable way that you can live with forever.

I don't think it has to be. Sometimes, it just happens with the best will in the world :) I'm following a structured diet :)

3 years ago I was 12 and a half stone. I got down to under 11 stone. Had another stone to go. I did it by taking up running and mindful eating. It was so easy and something that can be done forever, but Im back up to 12 stone again and struggling. Ideally Id like to be 9 stone 10.

Sometimes life happens and the weight comes on again. I injured my knee doing a HM a year ago today so stopped running for a few months. I also put on half a stone on holiday last June, then it went downhill from there. Im determined to lose it again in the same way.

Hi Honey, can I join you? I would also like to lose 3 stone.

I got on the scales this morning and I weigh 13st 12lb Blush - I am 5'8". I have had quite a stressful year for various reasons and have put on a stone and half since this time last year! I need to get rid of it.

My plan is:

  • make healthy choices
  • cut down on portion size (esp carbs)
  • NO SNACKING between meals

How have you got on for the last two days?

I would love to join you. I am 5ft 3 and 12st 4. I would love to get back to about 9 1/2 stone. I always think being accountable is motivating!
I have not snacked all week, but haven't done my normal exercise as I have been ill. Also had a dominos, and some chip shop chips...so I am considering this week to be easing in gently to a proper life style change, not a 'diet'! Next week I would like to get back to incorporating exercise in again, and having no take aways!

I am half an inch shorter than you and weigh a pound more. I have managed to shift half a stone in the past couple of months but I need to get more focused about it.
I think meal planning is the way forward for me otherwise I graze and the calories rack up without me even noticing.
I'm inspired by the fact that you have done it before so please .... Keep inspiring me!

Hi Honey, RNW and Imperial. How's it going? I just weighed myself and I've lost 3lb since I posted last week - really pleased!

Hello folks, could I join in? I'll weigh myself this morning but last time I checked I was 13st Blush. I'm 5'5". I had a baby in December but was actually around this weight when I got pg - however my stomach is a mess this time!

I would be really happy to get down to 10 or 10.5st.

Exercise options are limited in terms of gym classes but I can get out walking most days if I force myself to leave my perpetually increasing piles of washing/ household jobs, of which there seem to be lots!

This week DP and I have agreed to exist on meat, eggs, fruit and veg only. No snacks and no bread. I will also try and get out for a 3m walk every day if at all possible.

You can do it! I am nearly half way there, on a similar journey.

Start weight 12stone 8lb
current weight 11stone 3lb
Goal weight around 9stone ish

Height 5 foot 6 inches.

I use mfp, eat 1370cals per day and have started swimming and walking. I have been at it for 2 months so far. It feels good! You can do it!

Well done flanja 11'3 is my 'mini goal' as it gives me a BMI of 28. This is linked to something I really want to do, so it's nice to have that to aim towards.

Weigh in on Thursday - hope I've lost some!

Thank you! My mini goal is 11'2 as it means I have lost 20lbs And tick over onto a healthy bmi. I should reach it in the Next couple of days (period related water retention notwithstanding).

I have never managed to lose weight in a healthy way before so I'm really proud of myself. The only issue is none of my clothes fit anymore and I can't afford to buy new ones!!

Hello, do you mind if I tag along too?! I'm 5ft3 and weighed myself this morning at 12st2. A few years ago I started at 12.10 and got down to 10.2... But life happened and now I'm almost back where I started.

I'm getting married in Sept so surely best motivation to get my butt on gear would be now!

Good work Flanja! I haven't yet weighed myself but will do so after feeding the baby to sleep.

Today I ate:
1slice homemade toast with jam
1 banana
mixed chicken salad with cheese and nuts
1 apple
Chicken pie (no lid) with broccoli, green beans and roast tomatoes

I also walked three miles.

Quite proud of myself for not getting stuck into any naughty snacks as I usually do during the day!

Good luck, Honey.

I lost three and a half stones years ago, it really just crept on. I was 14 stone and managed to get down to ten and a half. In hindsight im not surprised I was that heavy, I was eating takeaways and going out for dinner three times a week! And drinking loads too.

I felt so much better and my confidence sprang back. I feel like a different person when im slimmer!

The biggest things that help me lose are MFP, lower carb, and more protein and veg. Also, if you don't want to eat it, don't have it in the house!

Loads of water, snack on veg sticks and hummus, apple sauce, boiled eggs. Exercise is great but your body is made in the kitchen.

Good luck! Thanks
