Small changes that make a difference

I want to loose weight but I am completely convinced that diets don't work and I never stick to them for more than 2 days.

So I need to make a few small changes at a time but changes that will make a difference.

Does anyone have any ideas? I am trying to get lots of ideas and then do 2or 3 at a time.

So far I have:
-drink more water
-cereals or toast for breakfast not both
-replace morning snack with fruit
-go for a walk at lunchtime

Further ideas are welcome Grin

Also it would be great to hear if anyone has successfully managed to loose weight this way.

No snacking, ever, ever, ever
Close the kitchen between meals
Stand up whenever you can, try not to sit back in your chair at meals and at work

Give up caffeine and alcohol; cut right back on coffee\normal tea fizzy diet drinks etc. Water is great and green\mint tea.

Don't eat after 7.30 pm. (unless it's fruit) Eat slowly and only when you're hungry and STOP when you're full. Look at Paul Mckenna.

Give up wheat, You can have rye\Kamut\spelt bread \crackers etc.

IMO and E (i lost nearly 3 stone on this way of eating and am maintaining a loose vanity size 10 jean!!!) snacks are fine as long as they are truly healthy and you are HUNGRY.

Cooking from scratch and very very little processed food.

No eating between meals. Enjoy meals so much more when hungry.

And drinking lots of water. I find I eat better, am less tempted when I keep water levels up.
