I'd really like to go home in 5 weeks 10lbs lighter. Unfortunately I will living in hotels all that time due to work and don't really want to rack up huge room service bills!

I'm in several countries over that time what can I do to stop the minibar chocolate craving?

I'm more of a grazer than a 3 meals a day because I'm busy at odd times.

Suggestions gratefully received Smile

Ask the hotels to put fruit in the fridge not chocolate - I think hotels make a good profit from minibars so they may not be able to help, but it's worth asking.

Also buy yourself a chocolate treat that you can make last the whole time you're in each hotel, so you're getting your fix but only in a small way not by emptying the minibar every night!

Buy room only rates.
Ask for the minibar to be emptied (spin them an allergy story)

Breakfast = the free tea / coffee in your room

Lunch = Order soup and a salad (even a v posh salad) of whatever menu is going, or two starters...
If buffets, scoff the crudites and try doing low carb options

Supper = Get in the habit of having a sharing plate from the bar for your supper (antipasto, mezze type things)
or if out do same as lunch

and NO SNACKING OR GRAZING

Weight watchers motto is (or used to be!) 'make wise food choices'

So, eat simply...no creamy sauces, lots of veg to fill you up. If you eat sandwiches, have ham salad rather than chicken tikka with Mayo etc.

Fruit for afters.

One glass of wine when you choose....instead of with a meal, you could chose to have it later in the evening.

Are you ordering your own food or are you eating buffet style with colleagues?

I'm with colleagues, I can eat fruit for breakfast, lunch a salad or if I'm in my room I have some cup a soups (not ideal I know) dinner I skip mostly which is why I end up snacking.

I need to get better prepared I think.

Fishes
Deffo have dinner : the sharing plates are great because they are fiddly to eat, add up to less calories than a normal meal and often much higher in fresh fruit and veg and healthy protein.

OR
Nip to a supermarket and pop some cheese and cold meats and fruit into the minibar so you can have healthy evening snacks

Also try to use the hotel gyms or pools if you could even do half an hour a day that would burn maybe 250kcal a day which would add up to almost 3 lbs in 5 weeks.
