Egg diet - anyone tried it?

Hi ladies, I am thinking of starting the egg diet that I found online:

www.slimmingsolutions.co.uk/slimmingblog/diets/the-1-week-diet-the-egg-diet/1938/

I urgently need to lose some more weight quickly for my wedding dress fitting in just over a week. Has anyone tried this diet for a quick boost? I want to do some exercise this week too so will have a small carb meal before on those days to be sensible. I hate celery and was wondering if anyone had done it and added something different to the salad? Thanks!

My sister did this, but it was called the chemical diet.

It does work, she lost half a stone in a week, but.....she was constantly hungry and on the verge of passing out some days but I am not sure she ate enough meat. She ended up going to bed at 8pm most days to try and sleep through the hunger.

I wouldnt personally but then I dont have a very expensive dress to fit into so I can see why you want to!

And although it says it is the balance of chemicals that will help you lose weight, I dont think it is. Its the fact that you are taking in very few calories.

Why dont you low carb for a week and be really srtrict?

Some people on this thread are doing it, we're calling it the Duncan from Blue diet. Lots of other crash diets on there too. I've lost half a stone in a week on the cabbage soup diet - join the dark side!

Duncan from Blue diet! I was supposed to lose a stone in five weeks before my wedding dress fitting next week and have lost 4 pounds :( I have had a very short engagement and under pressure.

I dont think I will stick to it strictly if I am going to pass out. Juicing diet last week I lost 4.5 pounds and then in two days I have put two pounds on again eating late. They are all useless I suppose but will try a cheaty version of this egg diet as I like the food. I cannot stand CABBAGES!

I did the egg diet and I lost a pound. Not worth it

Have done low carb/low fat instead and lost 3 in two weeks

Oh I have baaaad memories of the cabbage soup diet!

Constantly hungry, the soup was vile and I was farting so hard I almost went into orbit!

Iamblossom, just a pound! Thats what I fear. With the juicing diet I just did, some people online were saying they lost 9IBS or even 12IBs in a week, and I just lost 4.5IBs as I was too weak to do much exercise!

When you did it did you eat whatever fruit you wanted?

I have honestly found cabbage soup diet ok - boring but fine. And you can't argue with half a stone in 5 days!
This is the plan I followed, the recipe for the soup is on the site too. Ignore all the hypnosis bolleaux.

I ate nothing but eggs and cheese for 4 days.

Iamblossom, this is the egg diet I was talking about, a bit more than egg and cheese:

www.slimmingsolutions.co.uk/slimmingblog/diets/the-1-week-diet-the-egg-diet/1938/

However I have now chosen to do the Scarsdale diet which has more of the food I like.

Thehoundsbitch, I actually think your cabbage diet looks ok and love the bit where they say 'stuff, stuff, stuff yourself'.

The only really difficult day was the banana day, because I don't really like them!

You'd be better off doing a liquid only diet. First week is always a big loss.
