"Clean eating" support thread?

I'm not into specific diets, though I know they work for many. I want to move more towards clean eating, so cooking from scratch, natural foods, least processing the better. I'm also trying to control my portion sizes, up my fruit and veg and move more. Simple really but I'd love a place to check in and keep me accountable. I'm looking to lose about 1stone. Anyone want to join me?

Me too Agent, I'm trying to eat clean and lose a stone. I'm also posting on the pregnancy weight thread. What sort of stuff are you eating? At the moment I mostly have Greek yoghurt, honey, blueberries and almonds for breakfast. Lunch is a homemade veggie soup plus some sort of M&s deli salad. I want to start making the salads myself. Snacks are fruit, oatcakes and peanut butter, nuts, nakd bars etc. And dinner is stuff like veggie curry, veggie chilli, pastas and more. I only eat brown pasta and rice and have white bread like baguette about once a week. I like it stuffed with roasted veggies and hummus. I've been eating like this for ages but never cut out the sugar until two weeks ago and in that time I have lost 2kg so obviously it's working. Do you exercise?

This is exactly what we are doing on the EatBetterers thread! No calorie counting, banning foods or anything, just trying to make better choices. Will get the link in a sec.

It's here if you're interested. Most of us are fairly new to it so don't worry we are very welcoming :o

Small changes away from processed towards whole foods is making a huge difference already :) wasn't particularly aiming for weight loss although I do need to - more my general health as I have some chronic illnesses. But I am feeling so much better and have lost two dress sizes so far :)

FYI Nakd Bar is 39% sugar. (that is simple sugar, not complex carbs)
cadbury chocolate is about 57%.

I know which I'd rather eat, and just walk a bit further that day!
