So at the Dr's today weighed myself not happy as close to 100kg Shock I knew I was fat but not this fat :( :( :(

Anyhow I have been given weight loss pills by my G.P to help start weight loss process. Taken them today & have been trying to eat healthy which has gone ok for day 1.

Is anyone else using weight loss tablets? How are you getting on with them & what advise any can you give me.

Any help/advise would be great. Thank you :)

Which ones has he given you? If it's anything like Xenical then my advice would be not to fart....it could get messy!!

Good luck :)

I've had pills in the past, I didn't find them very successful as I tend to eat a lot of carbs and snack too much.

If you eat three meals a day they should help to limit the fat you absorb.

They don't do much on there own but they do boost any weight loss you achieve.

Well I think Zenical are just really for letting the person chose a lower fat diet as if you eat fatty foods whilst on them, the side effects are very unpleasant!

So yeah, just be very careful what you eat and if you go a bit mad make sure you stay near a loo (spare wipes and underwear at all times would be good too).

Thanks all for replies appreciate it :)

So today has been side effect free thankfully.

cookie i eat two meal a day as lunch is usually just some fruit.

betty wipes and spare underwear is a good idea just till I get used to the pills.

kotonika the clean up wasn't very nice couple of days but now the orangyness seems to have gone away. Thank u you for the tip I'll keep in mind.

They only thing I've noticed today is the headache :(

But there's nothing wrong with eggs! Nutritionally they are good

Are you sure about these pills? Is it really the only answer?

joules I've tried many a diets from juicing to low carb & have not managed to loose much weight. When Dr suggested them I wasn't sure but at the moment honestly I'll try anything. I'm unable to exercise for various medical reasons which doesn't help either :(

Well low carbing isn't a diet more a way of life and it's not for everyone

So are the pills working? How much do you need to lose?

I need to loose at least 5 stones in total but as a monthly guide I've been told by G.P to loose at least 2kg per month. I'll find out if I've succeeded at the end of the month.

So far they are helping me to feel more fuller so they have had an impact on my appetite - which is great :) as my biggest problem is comfort eating this is where I think I could gain the most from taking these pills. The side effect of eating sugary/fat stuff is the oily problem. I'm hoping that will discourage me from eating crap which it has so far!

I've only managed to loose 0.7 kg over the last month :( not a great start so G.P says unless I can loose 2kg over the next month it's probably not worth taking the pills. I'm really thinking about just not eating anything!!!

dumdum have you looked at slim and save or that type of VLCD after a few days you don't feel so hungry and would loose a good amount of weight. it's not for everyone and needs sticking to but it is do-able

Lovesswimming I looked into those and even started slim n save but I couldn't afford to keep it going. I didn't like the food sachets much either if I'm honest.
