Half-way there and plateauing ....

OK. I'm 5'0. I started the year at 13 st 9 and morbidly obese. I've brought it down to 12st 5 but realistically that is still very overweight and I still have a long way to go. I'd like to be between 10 and 1llst but even that is still overweight for my height, but I think any less would be unrealistic. But I've not lost any weight in two weeks.

On average, I'm consuming less than 1000 calories a day. I don't do breakfast (even if I'm not dieting). If I'm hungry in the morning I'll have a Snack-a-Jack rice cake thing for about 40 calories.

Lunch is normally salad with ham or chicken, or soup (with no bread). I reckon 250 calories at most.

Dinner is a stir-fry with chicken, fish or seafood and veg, no noodles or rice, or a Hairy Dieters concoction for under 500 calories, possible a low-calorie ready meal.

Sometimes I'll treat myself to a gin & slimline tonic of an evening.

I know snacking has been my downfall, that and clearing up the children's plates when they don't finish, and I'm trying really hard to avoid that. I'm also slightly more relaxed at the weekends, but don't go overboard.

My work is sedentary and from home, so we've also bought an exercise, which I'm using for between 30 and 60 minutes a day. Realistically, other commitments do not allow a greater amount of exercise on a regular basis, although we will also go out walking at the weekends if we can.

Is there anything else I can do, or is it just a question of perservering? It's very frustrating when the scales don't seem to reflect my efforts!
