30 day shred by Jillian Michaels

Hello all
I'm new to Mumsnet and just thought I'd post about the 30 day shred workout. Boy, it's fantastic. The results I've seen on other mums is mind blowing. I started today. I ordered the Dvd from Amazon UK yesterday and it arrived this morning. I put it on immediately and got to work. All you require is a pair of light weights (I used 1.1 kg but many just use two tins if beans) and a yoga mat if you have a hard floor.

The workout is only 20 minutes and there are 3 levels. Level 1 is for beginners and level 3 is advanced. You work on strength for 3 minutes, cardio for 2 minutes and abs for 1 minute (but you got to keep abs tight throughout) so it's a 3-2-1 Routine repeated 3 times so you workout for 18 minutes non stop. 2 minutes to warm up and 2 minutes to cool down.

I feel so proud after having no exercise since I was 5 months pregnant and my son is now 4 months old!

Anyone else heard of the 30 day shred or tried it?

It's very popular on here. Lots of threads about it (not meant to criticise you for starting another, just to say how popular it is!).

JM is evil but brilliant.

I did try looking but couldn't find any. I'm suffering today. I ache in my calves quads and armpit just by your breast. Shocked how unfit and weak I am now!

The day after I did the shred for the first time I hurt everywhere and could not walk up or down stairs. If you check out the exercise board you'll find a February shred thread there.

Here's the Shred Thread:

I tried Level 1 when I first started exercising 3 weeks ago but I didn't last very long. I think I need work out a bit more and build up some endurance before I try again.
