has anyone tried the venus factor?

If so, does it really work? Am quite tempted to try but it is a bit pricey and I wouldn't want to waste my money. Any experience to share?

I also read the science press and know that no "product" has ever turned out to work - except amphetamines

ah I see. It is not a product though it is a fitness plan. Seems quite popular in the US but can't find any reviews from the UK.

Is this a healthy eating programme or does it involve fasting and detox type days? Also I have read that you need to exercise in the evening. I prefer the morning. Would this effect results?

nope.

Talkinpeace (or 'talkslotsofsense') is basically telling you to eat a bit less and move around. That's the only way.
