Lovely shiny new thread- we are a talkative bunch!
To be a quiche avoider you must
-have a considerable amount of weight to lose
-be serious about wanting to lose it
-give other members a virtual kick up the arse when needed
-weigh in with us on a Wednesday (or if you weigh in on another day, post your results on a wednesday)
So roll up, jump in and lets lose lbs! and if you are having a moment of weakness just remember... what would clarinet do

herdy some weeks will be very hard, but it's the fact you keep on going that makes you a winner! You'll get there, slow and steady is best for weightloss. Much more sustainable. And if you sts or put on? Well tomorrow is another day!
Well I managed to fit in a 4.6mile run. My easy run pace is now around 10min/mile, compared to 12min/mile when I started. And when I'm pushing it for a 5k I'm down to 9min/mile I do love to run now!
I've been pretty good food wise today, I did have a rice crispie cereal bar at lunch, but I only had a few tablespoons of soup
cos ds2 stole the rest and 1 small piece of granary toast with butter. So it wasn't a horrendous blip. Breakfast was porridge and a clementine and dinner will be 1/3 of a homemade ham and chorizo pizza, and some sort of salad although the fridge is pretty bare atm. I was supposed to go shopping today but I've lost my credit card, so I'll have to pinch DHs tomo and do the shopping then.

My weight loss journey started back in May when I realised I was about to go over the 16 stone mark. 4 months down the line and I have dropped over 2.5 stone, down from a size 20 to a size 14 and fitter than I have ever been in my adult life.

Glad to be joining 3rd thread. So far so good, and so glad to be with people in the same boat.
My having a third of my plate of veggies was slightly scuppered this evening by the toddler scoffing all my carrots.
But the week so far hasnt been too bad.
Might have a blip this week though as off to Disneyland Paris, and having been there before, I know that the choices aren't that great.
Still, back on Saturday, and 3 days wont kill me I suppose in the longer battle that is trying to fit into my size 14s.
No one replied to my offer of a pair of size 18r Jeans from John Rocha. Debenhams. Some stretch, so v flattering, boot cut, but now I can take them down without opening. (discovered this with help of 2yr old hanging on to them )
In v good condition, dark navy denim, and a large 18.
So pleased you started the third thread Hen, You really are the captain of this ship! I had a sneaky weigh in this morning and have a feeling I may have a loss tomorrow!

Herdy, I think I might be in your camp tomorrow... But I am glad it's weigh day tomorrow as I think it will help me put the last few days behind me.

Today has been somewhat shit. I got my period (finally) and have just craved carbs and god knows what. I know I have retained a ton of water that won't leave until Thursday/Friday.
We are waiting to hear about a contract for DH - he freelances - and that is very stressful, and DS1 is having problems settling into the new and much stricter regime that is Year 1. Bless his heart he isn't happy and his behaviour at school and home has gone down the pan and he is getting into trouble at school which he isn't used to. I am going to need to go and 'have a word' <sigh>. He is very young in his year, and very emotionally young on top of that, and I feel that they aren't taking this into account very well - especially because he is very bright (school's words, not mine) and managing the work easily so I wonder how bothered they are.
Sorry for the essay Anyway if I have lost any tomorrow it will be a bloody miracle.

Hehehe, I feel famous! I just read the motivational quotes - they are fab. A great end to our last thread, and hooray for this shiny new one, thanks Hen. Sounds like you've done really well both with eating and running, IsThatTrue - hopefully some good news on the scales for you tomorrow. Herdy, I'll keep my fingers for you that tomorrow's result isn't as bad as you're worrying it might be, but even if it is, I completely agree with IsThatTrue that you're a winner (or should that be a loser?) for keeping going, whatever might happen week-to-week.
I haven't had any slips this week - planned treats only. So I'm cautiously optimistic about tomorrow's weigh-in. But bodies (especially the one I inhabit) do sometimes do unexpected things, so we shall see what tomorrow brings.
I'll keep my fingers crossed for you, Herdy - but otherwise I'm keeping them myself!!

Tired unfortunately I need long length trousers or I would of jumped at the chance to have some Rocha jeans.
Another day at college and a 5 mile cycle and Zumba as well. Not surprisingly I am shattered now so having a break from atoms and photosynthesis for a quick MN fix before bed.
So today I have had porridge with honey and blueberries, an apple, 2 satsumas, a ww peanut bar, slim a soup and tiny piece of olive bread, 2 light hot chocolates, crispy fajitas with veg and some watered down carrot soup with nimble toast.
I am within my points for today plus I earnt 10 for my exercise. I know I can't earn 10 each day but I am aiming to get the exercise right and hoping that will have a knock on effect. I have found that if I give myself a weight target I just can't do it. In the long run it is better as I want to say goodbye to this weight and never see it again, a quick fix diet won't keep it from coming back on.
Anyway feeling better today and hoping it will continue.
Yellow rather jealous of your opportunity. I love farming and wish we could live in the country away from the busy city. I don't envy the moving though, good luck

For the jeans? nothing. Free to a good home.
Weight loss? 17lbs last week. Fingers crossed to be 2 more down tomorrow.
And It was both hysterical and Yaay when the jeans came down!
I love love Disneyland. And the 4yr old loves Princesses, and won't be starting school til Jan so this is the last non school holidays opportunity....
Ps, I was on my vibrator machine tonight and was doing my exercises in my underwear and my knickers kept falling down; so something is working!
I've got six stone to lose and am horrified! Can I join in? I weighed in today at 16 stone 9. Would love to be encouraged to hear your success stories! Life is a bit manic at the moment and stress levels high. I emotionally fat so need to try super hard.
I've had a good day today, went on a training day, where lunch was provided, I knew it was sandwiches, so I took my own lunch rather than end up bingeing on
lovely gorgeous bread, cheese and egg mayo. Felt very virtuous

Hello all ....I feel like sneaking in as I have been a bit AWOL this week - I haven't been feeling as motivated and on track and although I've been reading the thread everyday I'm sorry I've not been joining in . Although I must say this is partly due to me not being able to type on my phone and never ever getting chance to come on the laptop as DP hogs it every evening!
I see others have been struggling too and so its good to know we're not alone and I'm glad those who have strayed a bit are getting back on track
It was my twins 3rd birthday today and I had planned to enjoy the party, buffet, cake etc but because I knew I was going to be 'bad' the whole day became a bit of a write off.....still back on track tomorrow (I hope). Although I've not managed to be as good as you were birding as I still have leftovers!!
Thanks for the new thread Hen and that is so crap about your scan absolutely ridiculous. I hope you can get seen before that - I agree it seems necessary to have that severe abdominal pain
I know it was back last week but wanted to say a quick thanks again to those who replied re my mums comments (think that what has set me back a bit this week tbh) and also clarinet you were right what you said about her having some kind of issues/guilt which she projects onto me. I know I need to not let her comments (of which there have been many more already) upset me and so I am just trying to rise above it - I know there will always be something she will criticize me for hopefully this time next year my weight will be one thing less!
