I have been to the meeting and got my packs today! I am well aware of how negative friends and family will be if I mention I am doing ll but I see this diet as a way to get the weight off and the real 'diet' will be afterwards maintaining it! I was soooo shocked to be weighed and I have 7 stone to lose? Help! has anyone got any tips or success stories to share? X

Good luck! First 3 days can be tough. Make sure you drink enough water....I did about 6 litres a day. I lost about 6.5 stone when I did it. The speed of loss is very motivating. I have put some back on, but do now recognise the triggers that make me eat, and am in a better place to deal with it.

Every one will have an opinion on what you are doing, which will be discussed in group which does help. You are def right about what you do afterwards being the important bit.

Well done on starting the journey

I've just started too. It is hard, but I know it will get better and I keep thinking of all the reasons I'm doing this. This is about me. Not anyone else - me.

I'm a bit confused on the water issue. My counsellor said 2 litres a day, but I have been drinking more than that. Is there a right amount?

Day 2, so still tough, with an early start and long journey tomorrow! Tbh, I'm feeling better when I do something - being in the flat makes me want to eat to feel better.

Tonight I went to the cinema with a friend and off to start an evening class after work tomorrow. Distraction distraction!

I had spag Bol - not a fan. I find the shakes a bit sickly but think they should be OK! Still yet to try them all though.

The bars are a lifesaver once you can have them Smile

On day 13 now, lost 9lb last week and getting weighed tomorrow. I have got myself into a routine! It's been quite easy actually, I have found that I can't stop watching cookery programmes though!
