Just reached my revulsion point - VLCD/4:3 gurus, can you check out my desperate plan please?

Ok so I've yoyo-d between a 12 and an 18 most of my adult life. I've tried SW, WW, Cambridge, Slim & Save but I have to accept I have a fucked up relationship with food.

In the shower this evening I've reached the point where I have to do something about my weight again.

I know all the things I should and shouldn't do but hey ho....
I have 10 days worth of Slim and Save stuff in the cupboard but with Cambridge and S&S I've lost until I get to 11st 4 then I stick at that weight for weeks and weeks to the bafflement of 2 different CD advisors who must have thought I was cheating (I wasn't).

So - I've had a little look at 4:3 in a panic - there seems to be loads of info but I don't have time tonight.

What if I use the S&S stuff and stick to 500cals on fast days and do 4:3. What might be a likely weight loss and what are the pitfalls/things to watch please?

I need to start tomorrow..
Is it a stupid plan?

I've done both hun. If you feel using packs will help you stick to doing 4:3 then by all means use your remaining packs and see how you go. Most 5:2/4:3 prepare fresh meals, salads, soups, etc but once you get into the swing of things home made soups and meals are something you could consider. Join one of the support threads on here and they'll be able to give you tonnes of advice!

Experiment a bit and see how you go on. Perhaps just start with 5:2 rather than 4:3 in case you find it hard.

Can't give you any advice on what weight loss to expect but make sure you measure in case the weight loss is slow and inches come off faster.

I struggled with 5:2 as once i started eating my 500 i wanted to eat everything not nailed to the floor and i just didn't have the willpower for it. But lots of people i know have done quite well on it. Join one of those threads and they'll be able to give you so much more help and support.

Good luck and let me know how you get on x
