Substitute for white rice?

I love curries but white rice is too heavy and too much carb which I want to cut down on.

Any good/healthier substitutes?

We always have wholegrain brown rice- much prefer flavour. Have to cook it for much longer than White.

Or make a veg Dahl or curry to go with? Or serve the curry with chopped salad? Or a very thin wholemeal chappati?

Cauliflower rice is yummy, you just grate the whole thing (except leaves) and steam it.

Yep, really. It makes brilliant low-carb 'rice'. Can't cut and paste on iPad but google for cauliflower rice and you'll get loads of recipes and suggestions.

I don't eat white rice and would second the brown rice suggestion, as it is less stodgy than white.

I don't bother - I just have chappatis with curry.

I've tried brown rice. Didn't like it.

I'll try the Cauliflower rice.

Love chappatis but still Carbs so I'm going to have those as a last resort.

Another vote for Cauliflower Rice - don't even need to steam just need to microwave for a couple of minutes - it is LOVELY
